Absolutely perfect stay!! It's cozy, comfy, facilities provided are also so so considerate for females. Nice location with minutes walk from underground station, and surrounded by bus stations that can directly reach most of the views. The single room looks a bit crowded but surprisingly fit just right. Cannot recommend more :)

No access to rooms between 9am til 3pm, even after you check in. Female single rooms are not fully blocked or closed off from noise - there are spaces on side of door, I guess for air ventilation?

Responsive staff when there was a noise issue from one of the rooms beyond curfew, clear check in, clean and tidy. Spacious bathroom.

Due to everything being made of wood it is LOUD. You can hear everything other people are doing and it’s especially loud when people are locking and unlocking their doors. There also needs to be proper curtains on the windows as a lot of light and outside noise comes in.

Great location near central station, very clean, and cozy.

You need to pay extra for late check in, not big money but still would be nice if check in would be possible at least till 9 pm.

Very clean, cosy, great location, udon store next door is just adorable. Comfortable mattress. Great friendly staff and surely a very good location.

Very good location- can walk to metro, train station, and bus stops. Very clean facility. You can hear other guests, but everyone is quiet after 9pm. Very clean. Polite staff who spoke English. Hair dryer, straightener, curling iron, shampoo, conditioner, soap, drinking water provided.

The payment for accomodation can be done only in cash. You have to pay for towel (100¥), it is not pricy, but even hostels had towels for free. Just one shower for 10 rooms. Had to wait long time to get to shower or sink. No place to dry wet towel.

Location is great - near to Kyoto train staion and you can walk to Gion (20-25min approx.). Bed was comfortable.

There is only one shower in the building. I had a short wait to use it a few times which was fine, but I can imagine this being a pain when there are more people staying.

The room was exactly as pictured and the futon was comfortable. The staff are very kind and helpful. Everything was clean.

Really cool place with very helpfull staff. Though the room is tiny, it still worked out wonderfully. I could even store my really big suitcase next to the counter as it would not fit into the room. Bus just round the corner, as well as a conbini. Would definitly come here again. Only heads up: As the walls a very thin, everybody has to be quiet, to not disturb the other guests. But during my stay this was not an issue at all.

The futons were too thin for us, but this is what happens when you are European and want to try a traditional japanese room :)

At walking distance from Kyoto station, a quiet atmosphere, cozy wood design, convenient kitchen with some free stuff, nice staff, laundry.

The futon mattress is a cheap low structure soft foam mat so you can really feel the floor (it offers less support than a school gym mat). For a short stay, I don’t think it would be a problem. But it’s something to be aware of if you’re prone to back pain, injury, elderly, etc.

It’s a small simple place that is really clean, quiet, safe, and just far enough away from the busy areas that the streets aren’t crowded. It’s a short walk to the Keihan line (shichijo station) and a slightly longer walk to Kyoto central station.

Only one bathroom in a building, which might need to wait if many people staying there. Have certain time to bath, maybe one of their rules. Pillow and bed a bit thin, totally like tatami style. Maybe as pay what as you get.

Clean room with full basic facilities needed. Location is strategic with bus stop and train nearby. Friendly staff too.
