The actual sleeping area was tiny and this hotel is a bit away from Kyoto’s main tourist areas/sites.

Not directly related to the property. But for some reason, Google maps could not find a good walking path to the location from the train station. I had to take a cab.

Great location. Small but very clean and comfortable. Very quiet at night. Slept very well. I could stay only one night. But would have liked to stay longer.

This hotel is really reasonable and over my expectation. The stuff are new and mordern. Everything were prepaired in advance so thoughfully. I have been in Japan for 5 years and this is the hotel that I feel most comfortable & happy in Japan

It's not the hotel's fault, but the road was so narrow that we couldn't park our car. But there is a coin parking nearby so it's not a big problem. The replies to my email inquiry beforehand were not kind, but the actual hotel staff were very kind.

Even with a one-year-old child, there was nothing dangerous and it was safe and comfortable. And it's very cheap considering the market price.

The room is small but also filled with to much stuff by the hotel. So there is no place for your own suitcase. If you have a room for three persons. Hotel could fit television to wall to create more space. If you look to photo you can see what I removed to fit my suitcases in to the room. Dirt underneath the beds. Better cleaning!

Usb chargers built-in, clean rooms. Toiletries available in the lobby, just as in pretty much every Japanese hotel. Very compact but there was no noises. Extremely helpful reception staff. The gentleman offered all the help he could trying to make a reservation at the sushi bar 700meters away.

Car park is only two spots so don’t count on it, public parking around the corner is +/- 1500Y per night. Rooms are quite noisy from the hallway and neighbours. Soundproofing could be better.

We didn't find a subway nearby so every day we had to walk to the hotel for 2km from the Kyoto station. Maybe we just didn't see it. No cafés nearby.

The room was super clean and had all facilities needed- a teapot, cups, all bath needs, even a hair conditioner and body lotion in big bottles which is much better than small sachets. At the reception one can take tooth kit. A lot of clean towels. Garbage is removed every day. Room service once in 3 days. Check in is only before 21.00 which is not very good but the host was very kind to wait for us as we had been late for the train and arrived at 23.00 Quiet premises.

What we didn’t like was the lumpy and rather pokey mattresses. They seemed firm and dense, a bit like a futon, but there were springs in them that poked you when lying down. Even my skinny daughter felt uncomfortable trying to get to sleep. I mentioned that it seemed the hotel had just been renovated, but I’m not sure about those mattresses!

The room was very clean, and the carpets in the room and wallpaper looked new. The location was in a residential neighborhood and was very quiet, which we liked. We were only two blocks from a main street where there was a Starbucks for breakfast and other restaurants if we didn’t grab dinner elsewhere. Easy access to trains and taxis which were our main choices of transport. We did ask for a shower in the bathroom, if you are not from Japan, it may startle you to see a Japanese style bath and shower. The tub is very deep but short, and the shower controls connect to the sink. The water pressure was great, no difficulty washing hair.
