No dislike, the location depending where you’re planning to go might be a little out of the way, but even then it’s within an hour.

The staff was super friendly and went above and beyond. The place is lovely, the Onsen was great!

Love its onsen so much. It was the 1st time i stayed in hostel in japan. The experience was amazing. High privacy and good hyigene. Everyone is so quite and the onsen is the best. It made me want to come back to hakone every year for the onsen. Staff was so helpful and willing to share info to make my stay more fruitful

The location is convenient to move around by bus since the bus stop is right outside of the property but not ideal for hiking since there are no trails to Gora or close by villages

I was blown away, I can’t believe I paid what I did to stay here. The staff were lovely, the amenities fantastic and the relaxation optimal. The same experience in my home country would be 4x the price, I had the whole outdoor onsen to myself almost the whole time!

One of my favorite hostel experiences I've ever had. Only minor complaint is I wish there were additional washrooms on the floor of the dorms (only 2).

Incredible place. So comfortable and beautiful, the onsen is exceptional. Great location near bus stops and attractions. Helpful staff. Lounge and kitchen facilities were excellent. Great free coffee and tea station. The capsule rooms are comfortable and spacious.

Check out is 11am which seems a little early to me but that's the same in other places in Japan. Onsen is closed from 10am until the evening which seems a strange because surely most people want to use it in the day. Other than that everything was awesome.

I stayed in one of the private rooms. Firstly the setting is magical. The building is on the side of a deep valley and our room looked over the river and waterfalls (the view is even better from the communal lounge/kitchen). Staff are very friendly and helpful. The outside onsen is amazing and seemed to be generally quiet while I was there. My wife had the female one to herself for the whole time. Given there are some crazy expensive resorts in Hakone, this is a great value way to experience the area and onsen.

Our room was very bright at night due to one of the windows facing the outdoor Onsen. There was not sufficient shade to block the light. Other than that, our stay was perfect!

If you have large luggage, keep in mind that there are 2 flights of stairs before reaching the reception. Once at the reception, there is a lift within the building.

Great common area and onsen. The lounge is beautifully designed, spacious, and a perfect place to chill. The kitchen is fully equipped. The dorm, bathroom, and toilet are clean. There is enough space to put my toiletries next to the basin or make-up vanity. There is space to put small luggage next to the bed, and the light can be adjusted (bright/dim). They provide free towels every day, which is great. The staff is friendly and helpful. There are a few restaurants and a Lawson within a 10-minute walking distance, which is convenient. There is bus stop just outside the guest house (which goes directly to Odawara if you are heading back to Tokyo) and Miyanoshita Station is just 12 minutes walk away (this will take you to Hakone Open Air Museum and Gora station for change to Hakone Cable Car).

To the check-in desk, we have to carry luggage to a floor down, quite tiring. Room is too small to open the luggage.

There was no elevator from street level to the reception which is below ground. Be prepared to carry your bags up and down several flights of stairs, or consider leaving your bags in a coin locker at Odwara station

Outdoor onsen was fabulous. Common space lounge had a full kitchen with complimentary coffee and tea and a seating area with Kotatsu tables. Location was easily accessible by bus.

A stunning stay surrounded by picturesque natural scenery. I went during the autumn and the view surrounding the accommodation was breathtaking. Capsule rooms were spacious, comfortable, and fitted with power sockets and a safe for secure goods. The onsen itself was clean, modern, and well maintained. Staff were friendly and helpful in assisting with navigation around Hakone, and the guesthouse is located on a major bus line. Absolute value for what I had paid.

You can smell a very present scent once we arrive. All the settings are so beautiful. The guest house owner is so generous.,They treat all the guests sushi and sake to count down . I and my family are so happy to stay in this guest house. Everything were over my expectations.
