Booking.com identities this hotel as 4 stars’ hotel, but it is the 3 star’s hotel. In any case, a very good hotel. And thanks a lot to the staff!

The staff was excellent, very kind and attentive. The breakfast was good, and the location was convenient. The laundry room is the great plus!

Do not book the "Garden View" rooms IF you have an issue with hearing the Subway Line going under your Bed. It is not loud but clearly noticeable If the room is quiet. But i personally hate subway sounds when trying to sleep. I asked for another room.I got a downgrade but there was no leway to get a piece of that downgrade difference back. 60k Yen wasted. Id call their management stingy. Staff could do a bit more with that fake japanese smile for that price. But maybe they are underpaid or something.

It is a luxuriös Hotel, very Central in Kyoto.

They have the best service to make reservation at the restaurants for customers. Solaria Hotel definitely is my favourite when I stay in Kyoto.

The room was nicely equipped and spacious, providing ample comfort for our family. The breakfast had a good mix of western items and traditional Japanese meals, which we appreciated. The staff were super friendly and helpful, and they provided a large baby crib, which was awesome. The onsen was a highlight, offering a perfect place for relaxation. Overall, a great stay with just a few minor areas for improvement.

There isn’t much to not like about this hotel!

Perfect location near Gion and subways and trains. Beautiful, large rooms with garden view and large bathroom with tub. Beds were harder than we prefer but that is pretty standard in Japan. Nice touches such as coffee and drinks in the room. Breakfast buffet was delicious. We highly recommend this hotel!

I liked everything the staff were great however one day my friend was unwell and they wouldn’t allow me to take anything from the breakfast room to her in the room despite she had paid for a full breakfast and there was no room service. I thought this was poor.

The breakfast was different but i found enough things to eat to satisfy me. After all I am in Japan!!

I couldn't use the spa, due to their tattoo policy - even though I had bought cover patches. I completely understand the policy but most other hotels accepted covers these days.

Lovely room, a little smaller than we were expecting so we shipped luggage to our next destination to free up some space. The bathroom with its view of the green wall, was lovely. The breakfast was particularly good. Location is perfect, 10 mins from the shopping streets and is located on street of cherry blossoms.

Air conditioning was not very strong and it was quite hot in the room. They did provide an additional electric fan.

Onsen is overrated, it has little amenities and the ambience is not as nice as other onsen hotel i’ve stayed. Though our room with big bathtub more than makeup for it. Just ironic that i want a public onsen hotel and ends up enjoying having the bath in the room more. Laundry room is a long wait as they have only a few and the dryer is not helping so many people use the dryer cycle for 2+ times in the process that one person could hog the laundry for 3-4hrs. And there is a total of 3 machines only. Breakfast is too continental for me.

Location is very convenient. The nightlife of kyoto, park, etc all within walking distance. Hotel entrance is beautiful. House keeping was very honest. My son and husband left behind their things and everything was kept at the front desk that we did not even realized until told.

Our second time staying at this hotel in the same room. We love it very much. Breakfast has many options with various delicacies and our room is very spacious/comfortable. Staff helped us on our luggage forwarding with a big smile and make our stay wonderful

Our Bath View room was spacious, clean and comfortable and we loved the view out on to the green wall. The location is excellent with easy access to buses and subway, short walking distance to Gion and main shopping area and with numerous good restaurants very close by. Our favourite was a small ‘farm to table’ restaurant on the first or second small street opposite the hotel, run by an enthusiastic group of young people.
