Facilities and rooms were clean, change of towels available everyday. Staff and host were commendable and honest. They had found a sum of our money left in the room accidentally but they kept it and returned it to us when when we got back in the evening late. Host was courteous to prepare a stool for my mother to remove her shoes when we return from our site seeing every night.

Nothing significant in our stay. But I could picture some issues arising in the lobby if everyone checks in/checks out at the same time as it is just too tight. Fortunately for us we didn’t go through this.

Reception is messy, not very good impression at first sight. And the futton is very thin and not very comfortable.

I like the location not too far from Kyoto station, restaurants, and convenience stores around. The room was clean and spacious enough to accommodate a family of four.

The entrance to the building is messy, but once you are shown to your room it is a completely different feel. Very clean, neat and well kept.

The room was very clean, great location near to a 7/11 and the train station. Just one stop away from the main kyoto station so great for travelling. Loved the japanese style room.

The room and bathroom are clean. Tatami could have been cleaner. There is hair on the tatami.

The room, tatami, separate toilet and bathrooms. Balcony is a plus. Toothbrush and shaver are provided. There is a full size fridge in the room. There is a sink outisde the toilet and bathroom. There is space to store bags and hang clothes.

The room was incredibly small. There was no space to put our bags once we had all 4 futons laid out. There was only 1 key which was disappointing.

The reception/lobby is a bit messy, but don't be irritated by the first impression as the rooms are really clean. But a bit tidier reception/lobby would make a much better first impression.

The rooms are small but very clean, especially the bathroom and toilet. The staff is friendly. Overall I would recommend this accommodation as the price for value is great. But still keep in mind that it is a Budget Inn.

We updated to 4 person room, have bigger space in the room, walking distance to Kyoto station is about 1km, can take bus 207 to koyto station easily.

The entrance / lobby was messy and we felt like we'd walked into the wrong place, gave us a bad first impression. However, the staff were friendly. The room could have done with some seating or floor cushions. Also need a bigger tank for the terrapins (they looked bored).

Hotel entrance was messy and smells (they had a pet terrapin). We had a hard time bringing our luggage into the hotel. Everywhere was messy and untidy. The operator had to jump over bags on the floor to access the lift. Room was simple and only had 1 toilet.

Room was cozy and clean. Nice traditional room. Owner was lovely! Loved the tatami. Dolphin elevator was very cool! Also loved the owners turtles! Location is only 10 mins away from Kyoto station

staff was very impolite. we arrived late in the evening and was asked to pay city tax which was not possible to pay by card, which was not mentioned in the booking information. as we had no cash with us, we promised to get the money next day and bring it when coming back to the apartment. next morning at 8, when we left the apartment, staff already asked very impolite nevertheless we obviously did not had a chance to get cash in the meantime. when we came back to the apartment in the evening, nobody was at reception and as we had more nights, we decided to hand over the money next morning. ! ! ! during the night at some time (it has to be 11 pm or later), staff ring the bell of the apartment, what shocked us a lot. even though we did not realize that it was our apartment at the first moment. a few moments later, staff stood in our apartment mid of the night and asked for the city tax. it was completely horrible and without any reason, as we had to check out and hand back the key… ! ! ! Communication in advance only in japanese during booking. lobby was very messy
