It is located up a rather steep hill from the train station and was a bit of a struggle with our heavy luggages. However, that's the only downside! It's worth it for a very good location and lovely host.

Very central location, just one stop away from the Yamamote line and an easy train transfer to many of the main attractions in Tokyo. Very close to the station as well, just a 7 minute walk with many restaurants and convenience stores located nearby. The hosts are very kind, it seems to be a family-owned hotel and they are super helpful and gave us so much information on amenities nearby and good restaurants.

It's a great little hotel in a perfectly central location with easy access to Kagurazaka, Shinjuku, Shibuya. The Ichigaya station is just 5min walking distance, which makes it very convenient to reach many destinations within Tokyo including the Studio Ghibli in Mitaka. The hosts of this hotel were very attentive and friendly. It had a familiar feeling, which we as a family always appreciate. We loved this hotel and we think its the best value for money in Tokyo!

- The owners were extremely welcoming and helpful, they were always ready to give us advice for the food or transportation. They even made us a nice tea when we arrived, which was perfect to warm us up. Big up to Yun and Shin (hope I didn't make any mistakes)!! - Location was excellent, very close to the center. Next to a station as well. - Room was clean and spacious, and was actually more spacious than all our other hotel rooms. Very comfortable. - Price was good, and taking everything into account, it was excellent value for money. - Lots of restaurants or snacks nearby for when you come back after a long day. Perfect to eat and quickly be at your hotel. There were konbinis close by as well.

The bathroom was a bit small but other than, no complaints!

The hosts were so lovely and willing to help with everything! The rooms were also a good size and they provided all the amenities including an iron and tea! Also, its location was ideal, with lots of convenience stores nearby as well as Ichigaya station!

The hotel is on a hill and there is no elevator in the building, so keep this in mind. Otherwise I had no issues during my stay

Reception was very helpful and gave lots of good recommendations. Location is good for walking to different neighborhoods as well as close to train station for easy connections. Grocery stores and restaurants nearby. Room was spacious with a mini fridge and had a desk area, and there were microwaves on each floor. I felt safe in the area and building

The hill that the hotel was on / lack of elevator was a killer at times, especially on arrival. The hotel gives a heads up, but it’s definitely worth getting a taxi/uber with your bags from a nearby train station.

The staff were amazing. Extremely helpful and informative of the local area and some good spots in Tokyo. The rooftop was nice too, a good place to post up before/after heading out.

The host was really friendly and helpful. The room and common space both well-equipped. The hotel overall has a homey vibe that you don't usually get in Tokyo. Great value for the price. Location is convenient as well.

The rooms are basic, but that is to be expected given the cost and where you are in Tokyo.

The location is outstanding. 2 minute walk to the subway station that gets you to all the main spots in <20 mins. The hospitality is incredible, the staff made us cups of tea and brought them to our rooms at will. They were helpful with recommendations also. It is outstanding value for money.

There was really no downsides for us.

The hotel was very clean and cozy. I loved staying in the hotel lobby which was well furnished and had multiple places to sit or work. It was quiet and comfortable both in the rooms and in the lobby’s guest area. There was a very cheap coin laundry inside the hotel and they even offered detergent for a small fee. There was also an amazing little amenities corner on every floor, and if they didn’t have everything you needed in the room then it was there instead. I honestly was amazed with the amount of thoughtfulness put into the rooms and provided amenities, and every little thing was clean and/or smelled very nice. The two people running the hotel really thought of everything to make their guests comfortable and happy, and they were working extra by offering area advice and tips on the local sights, food, and shopping, even offering photos and guides. If there was something we were having trouble with due to the website or information in Japanese, then they took time out of their day to help us and went above and beyond any level of service we received in our travels and stays in other places. I honestly have no criticism for our stay. The place was clean, comfortable, and roomy, especially for a place in Japan. The staff was friendly and helpful at all times.
