How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

I didn’t realise it was right in the middle of the red light district. Not the most accessible location as well, quite far from any train stations.
Very good for short stay. The onsen is small but nice to have and the breakfast is decent. Have welcome drinks too if you are into that. Nice amenities given as well.

I would not call this a "dislike", it's more of a caveat. You need to be aware that you will need to catch a streetcar from Hiroshima station to downtown Hiroshima, then walk about 5 minutes to the hotel. I would not recommend walking to the hotel from Hiroshima Station, which is what I did with two pieces of luggage, .that took me 40 minutes, which was my error. So, a reminder to definitely use the streetcar.
The hotel had a small but nice natural hot spring bath, which I liked using. Also, for the guests of the hotel, there was a welcome bar where serve cocktails and non-alcoholic drinks were free. The hotel also uses a electronic key pad instead of a hotel room card, which is a nice feature. Of further note, the hotel was located in a night club/relaxation venues, which revealed the hedonistic side of prim-and-proper Hiroshima. There were all sorts of people, of all ages, from Japanese business people to European-Anglophile families staying the hotel. The hotel and location would most certainly be a dream for the 20-35 year old market, but it will suit people of all types.

Double room + twin bed was cramped. Bathroom was tiny. Not really any extra space to move around.
Great Japanese buffet breakfast. Staff was very friendly and good location 15 min walk to the Peace park with lots of restaurants and shopping nearby. Onsen was also good.

Very limited Western and vegetarian choices for breakfast. Very early (10 am) and non-extendable checkout. Would stay at this hotel (and other hotels in the chain) again.
Breakfast was basic but fine. Different pillow types avaialble for rooms just off of the lobby. The gentleman checking us in spoke excellent English. Free cocktails in the lobby in the early evening hours. Several conveniences stores nearby for cheap snacks.

The hotel is situated in a great location. The center/Freedom Memorial is within walking distance. There are numerous restaurants and cafés around to pick from. The staff is very friendly, helpful and acommodating and takes their time to explain everything. They even have a self-service laundry in the hotel, which is very practical. The amenities are all being cleaned daily, comfy bed. Can fully recommend!

The location was a little questionable as we were surrounded by massage parlours and it didn’t feel safe at night.
The public onsen was great to relax. The breakfast buffet and free alcoholic beverages in the afternoon was a nice touch. Room and amenities were great. Front desk staff could have been more friendly.

The bathroom was small and the layout made it hard to move around. Breakfast was decent but not very exciting - it particularly missed a selection of fruit or vegetables. The first night there were not enough extra pillows and the kettle in our room was broken - but after asking about it, the hotel staff was able to give us a backup kettle.
The room was fairly spacious, there were plenty of entertainment options on TV (Netflix, YouTube, Hulu, etc) and free (unlimited) drinks every night - a chance to try Japanese plum wine or yuzu syrup. The location was pretty good for sightseeing and with many good restaurants around.

Even the superior room was pretty small and the bedding wasn’t the nicest but overall it was good value
The hotel is in a good location and I thought it had excellent facilities - breakfast was lovely and plentiful, the onsen was great and always very clean and it had simple touches like umbrellas for the rai and welcome drinks.

The room was disappointing small, but I guess this is normal for Japan.
They have a lot of extras: hot spring, choose your own pillow, drinks and happy hour for free in a certain times. Breakfast had a lot variety(savory and sweet), but there was no fresh fruits.

There was no displayed allergen information at breakfast so I couldn't eat anything!
The Onsen is lovely, there is a free drinks bar between 6 and 9pm with some international and some local drinks! Check in was flawless!

The cleanliness of the apartment requires improvement. There was a real mess between the beds in the twin room.
Location of the hotel is ok from the logistics point of view, but one may not like the surrounding, it looks like not a very safe district. We liked the idea of free drinks. Hotel is relatively big, so I thought onsen may be crowded, but it wasn't. Staff are helpful. Breakfast was good.
