Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

MexicoThe sofa bed in the room for three people is a little uncomfortable but not in a “I can’t sleep” kind of way. I do woke up a little sore though.
The hotel is extremely near the Tottori Station, so if you want to leave to other parts of the prefecture it’s easy to leave. The included breakfast is also very good and does the job for the start of the day Staff was very friendly although they don’t speak English and my Japanese is not as good.

JapanWhile it was a buffet breakfast, it was way too heavily animal-based. The only vegan options really were rice and the raw salad vegetables. Even all the six dressings had either fish extract or milk. The staff couldn't guarantee that the steamed pumpkin didn't have fish broth in it. No fruit available at all. I think there's a lot of improvement that needs to be made!
A convenient location for sightseeing around Tottori. We stayed two nights and managed to drive to all tourist destinations in the area quite comfortably. The room was comfortable, with a good variety of pillow options if the one in the room is not up to your liking. Free bicycles to use and we could even borrow an iron from the reception.

SingaporeThe room is rather cramp.
The morning buffet is simple & enjoyable with a good spread. The welcome bar was a pleasant surprise. You can have a coffee, mocktail or hard liquor from 5.30 - 9 pm. MacDonald, KFC & Starbucks is a stone throw away. A supermarket is nearby.

CanadaConfusion between eki kitaguchi and ekimae branches, and the room assigned to me didn't have a great view out the window (staring at a wall of another building).
Parking space was plenty, easy access to convenience stores and restaurants. working air conditioner, onsen was clean and not crowded, time-frames for onsen access is convenient.

Hong Kongthe onsen is used alternatively for men and women, I don't feel comfortable with it, and women using onsen in the evening is only 8-10, so it's crowded and there's only 1 dressing table inside. it's very not convenient. The bed is a bit too soft for me. though there are choice of pillow which is good.
it's like 3 mins walk from JR station and bus station going to points of attraction, so it's super convenient. Car park available and it's just beside. staff are very polite, hard working and greet you every time I return, they bow to you politely to see you off in the elevator. the complimentary drink bar is a surprise, guests gathered from 6-9, chatting, having drinks and it's a very warm feeling. I stay in Super Hotel Fukuyama just before staying in Natural Hot Spring Super Hotel Tottori Eki Kitaguchi, to compare with, latter is much better. The room is bigger and the window is transparent (Fukuyama Super Hotel's room window is not), so the view from room is much more open which made the room more comfortable, brighter and bigger.

United StatesI definitely missed having an anti-fog treated area on the bathroom mirror like many hotel chains do. The standard pillow in the room was filled with small plastic balls; it wasn't necessarily uncomfortable, just different. I didn't try the other pillows they had available in the lobby though.
Very convenient to Tottori station, from which you can take a bus or train anywhere in Tottori. Note there is a second Super Hotel just to the south of Tottori station, so make sure you have the right one; the staff there kindly directed me to the right one. My Japanese is limited, but the staff were very friendly and professional and had some printed English materials to help me out. The laundry machines on the first floor worked great and I very much enjoyed the breakfast buffet every morning. The room itself was fairly large, clean, and had a mini-fridge & electric kettle. I also liked the door magnet system to indicate how much cleaning I needed and when I'd checked out.

AustraliaThe bed was very hard to me but thats a personal preference. There was a random one off issue with the hot water on one of the nights we stayed. Fair enough technical issues occur from time to time that's ok, but it was pretty annoying the PA system going off at 11:30pm when were trying to sleep updating us on the issue.
Excellent location, across the road from the JR Tottori station. Many restaurants, shops, fast food and convenience stores around the hotel and a AEON Shopping centre 3 min walk away. Onsite car parking and very welcoming staff. The staff spoke a good level of English and had no issues with checkin or out. The room was very basic until I worked out you need to pickup your desired pillow and any amenities you want from the lobby. I like that system you can choose the type and softness of the pillow you want and you're not wasting any soaps ect that you were never going to use. The included Japanese breakfast was different for me but overall still pretty good.

JapanIf we had to nitpick, it would be the fact that there is only one elevator for the entire hotel, so you might have to wait a bit if crowded.

IndonesiaThe location is not right in front of station, but around 5 minutes walk from the station, but it's not really a big problem, since it is near to the bus station, which is very onvenient for us. Nothing else.
The whole hotel was super clean and there are many services provided when staying here, such as Welcome Bar (with alcohols), Breakfast included, and hot spring bath. The staffs were very polite and explains in such way that easy to understand. For the price we paid, this exceeded our expectations.
