Got to experience a more traditional lifestyle with the floor table and sleeping mats. Was right in Gora so easy access to food and the train.

The online checkin needed all the guests detail info including passport copy, phone number and address. It's just too much and no hotels need that. Concern over over-collecting personal information

Narrow staircase, difficult to navigate with luggage, no tea and coffee provided. Was very disappointed with all the rules and threats given the price

It was not the owners fault,but the people in the unit next to us in the complex partied two out of the three nights until late, two out of the three nights we stayed. On a personal note, I have realised that sitting on the floor and sleeping on futons is beyond the capacity of my old back!!!

Modern, well appointed and in a fantastic central location. Close to all transport, restaurants, cafes and shops. If you need a Lawson, it is next to the previous train stop (near the Open Air Sculpture Museum) or an easy 10 minute flat walk.

The futons were very thin and hard and uncomfortable. We stayed at multiple other traditional properties in Japan with much more comfortable futons. The walls are thin and you can hear the neighbors quite a bit. Otherwise quiet / away from traffic etc.

Amazing location right by the Gora train station. Easy walk to restaurants and transportation. Having 3 levels was nice for some additional privacy and two bathrooms. It was also very nice to have two TVs and a large dining table. Great for a group.

Location is near to Gora Station. New apartment with well equipped kitchen (Balmuda Microwave Oven) and state-of-the-art bathtub (TV, with programmable auto water filling timing and heat regulation!).

This property is in a superb location, probably as good as it gets but also nice and quiet (you can hear the neighbours going up/down stairs but a quiet location) and so handy to transport to explore everything you want to see. After staying in smaller places which is pretty normal for Japan, it was lovely to stay somewhere bigger where we could spread out. Great fr families.

Nothing all good. But take note that because each guest has to wash their dishes and return them to the cupboards, it’s probably best to wash the dishes before using them as there is no way to verify the previous guest has washed them thoroughly.

Excellent location, very well maintained and clean. Modern. Host also has included a free parking spot at a car park a short walk away.

It would be better if a dryer was available for after washing. The washing machine has dryer function but it didn’t worked that well. Small issue tho if the sun is shining bright. One Other observation is that not many choices available for dinner as most of the nearby restaurant closes by 5pm. But you could always take a train ride one or two station away for dinner.

The apartment was very clean and everything we needed were available. The location is literally a stone throw away from Gora station, it’s very convenient. And if you drive, parking lot is just 2 mins away.

Only one small comment: the little windows on the upper floor (where 3 futons can be placed) cannot be covered, so the light wakes u up early. Should be easy fix. Be aware that if u stay for a few days, u depend for groceries (breakfast, etc) on the Lawson which is one station back (10 min walk). Easy and pleasant walk.

If u go to Hakone area, Gora Park ia great starting point and this location is very central in ahora Park, just 200 meters around the corner of the station. Place is very clean with great beds and futons. For a family of 5 with three 11-17 kids, it was perfect. Itoh Dining by Nobu is a lovely place for a special dining experience. The open air museum (on walking distance) is one of the most beautiful I have ever visited: a must see!!!

Very close to the train and bus stations. Two minute walk to the tram to Hake Railway. Restaurants within walking but the town closes up by 6! Clean apt. Was not expecting four small floors but the stairs were not a problem for us. The beds were fine though the floor mats were not comfortable for adults. The Japanese style house was fun but we did decide we prefer sitting on a couch over the floor. : )

The staircase is skinny and steep, and the upstairs sleeping space is a bit of a low ceiling.

Excellent location right next to Gora station with very easy access by train to get there, as well as an easy way to get to the ropeway. Great ammenties with a full kitchen and washing machine. The balcony has a nice view of the surrounding mountains. It has a good sized living space with adequate room for 4 adults complete with TV and a set of board games. The pincode access door was good for easy entry and being able to split up as a group while out and return to the property at leisure without the hastle of carrying a key. The airconditioning was powerful and effective. The staff communicated very well through booking.com.
