Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

ThailandThe host was nice to help us with checking in as we forgot to register our information before hand as they told. It was raining when we arrived so Mr.Koji came to let us in first and then we finished the registration minutes after. We was in Kanazawa when the big earthquake happend, we contact the host to ask about Tsunami and they answer really fast. We had a nice stay.

CanadaIt would have been nice if the upstairs bedrooms could have been completely closed off from each other. This could be easily done with the addition of two more sliding doors. Note that the downstairs bedroom is open to the kitchen and dining room.
Tamaco was a was spotlessly clean house that was great for larger groups as the rooms were spacious for a Japanese home. The kitchen was well equipped with dishware, glasses, cutlery and cookware and there were plenty of linens and towels. Although there is only one toilet, it is separate from the shower/tub room and has its own little sink. The AC/heating units worked very well and the overhead lights in the bedrooms had three different settings. We really appreciated having the washer and dryer. The home was an easy walk from Kanazawa Station, Omicho Market and Kenrokuen. The hosts were very quick to respond to any enquiry and we appreciated the instructions and booklet of information that was provided.

AustraliaThe toilet and bathroom area was very cold in the winter, as we chose not to try and heat it as it would have been very difficult to keep warm. Also we would have appreciated some basic cooking supplies like oil, soy sauce and salt/pepper.
The location was great and there was plenty of space for everyone. The kitchen was well equipped with plates and glasses etc, and there was a lovely little garden. The overall apartment was a nice place to stay, and they were accommodating with dropping our luggage off early.
