The perfect location!!

The breakfast doesn’t change much day to day and there are not many options of dishes and drinks. We stayed for 4 nights and it wasn’t that much of a problem, but during a longer stay I would find myself looking for different breakfast options in the area.

Very intimate feel due to a small number of rooms. Great lobby and a nice view on the river from the lobby and the room. During the evening there are free snacks and alcohol drinks of great quality at the lobby. The bathroom is fantastic - spacious and with a feature of connecting your device to play some music while you shower. Overall an amazing experience.

Breakfast was extra and more than we were willing to pay. The lobby area did not have any trash cans and we needed to hand trash to the hotel staff for disposal outside of our room.

The hotel is at a good location, within walking distance of the major Gion area temples and historic district and a subway is located across the street, making the rest of Kyoto accessible. We also enjoyed the free cocktail hour and the vibe of the hotel was very modern and clean. The hotel is in a very peaceful area, next to a stream and other historic sights.

Breakfast choices were a little limited but this wasn’t an issue for us just something to be aware of.

Beautiful hotel, the staff were very welcoming and helpful. The room was spacious, clean and the bathroom was lovely. Train/metro station directly outside. The hotel staff booked us a taxi to get to the Shinkansen station when we checked out too. Would happily stay again. Thank you!

After booking breakfast the Staff should be a little more aware of how many people will have breakfast and check by themselves if there is still enough food and drinks left for all of the guests. It’s a little bothersome if you have to ask them to refill those all the time . Especially if they walk by the buffet and don’t notice by themselves that for example a sip of Orange juice is maybe not enough for six Guests…

The Hotel has nice and clean Rooms. Also the distance to the next Subway Station is really convenient.

The breakfast left a lot to be desired with very few options and none for anyone with specific dietary requirements.

The hotel was beautiful and the room was very comfortable. The location was also great and only 20mins from the station.

Bathroom probably a little on the smaller side, but pretty typical for Japan, as with the room. I think one of the larger more expensive rooms would have been nicer (was sold out).

Liked that it was a smaller hotel, and the complimentary drinks and snacks each night. Rooms were small but just enough room for suitcases. Staff were delightful.

Since Booking . com is currently on the BDS list for having properties in occupied West Bank I was a little guilt ridden for using their service. The room turned out to be extremely low on walk about space and staff spoke very little English. That's what you get, I guess. Otherwise an awesome location and modern feel. Great breakfast and happy hour.

Not a bad thing, just an fyi for people booking with larger parties. The hotel is smaller in terms of the amount of rooms available, so be mindful if booking with a larger party.

My wife and I stayed here during the 2024 April cherry blossom season. It was our first time in Kyoto. Upon arrival, we were immediately impressed by the decor and overall design of the space. Staff greeted and guided us to our room. The room itself was perfect. Great lighting, an awesome view overlooking the adjacent river, comfy bed and a great bathroom. Also, the rooms were very quiet! Being able to enjoy a selection of different complimentary alcohols in the lobby during the evening hours was a cherry on top! Plus, the hotel itself is located in a GREAT location. I’d recommend this hotel to anyone!

- Limited in-room facilities, no iron or ironing board, no spoons or bottle opener - all had to be requested from the front desk. - Quite dusty in some spots, on top of TV, base of coffee table - bathrooms were spotless though.

The breakfast is pretty basic, probably not worth opting for.

Great location, right next to a subway station and perfect for exploring Gion. Room was fine, bathroom really nice! They also have complementary drinks and snacks in the evening, set out in the lounge for you to help yourself.

Room was a little smaller than we expected but it was very clean and cozy.

Hotel was in a good and quiet location - near the main stations and about 700m away from the bridge (the commercial and shopping areas are on the other side of the bridge). The staff were very nice.

The hotel staff were super accommodating and held our bags at the front while we went out for the day. They brought our bags up and even set up what was meant to be a double room with a futon for our third traveler making what could have been a difficult travel day that much easier. The room was excellent and everything worked great. There was also a complimentary happy hour in the evening with local drinks that was very appreciated.

Our room was facing main street, you can't open the windows in the rooms.

Great location next to the metro station, very close to main attractions- 20 min walk to Gion. Tasty breakfast, moderate selection of dishes, we missed bread a bit. A pleasant surprise was the free evening refreshment with a large selection of local alcohols.

I wasn't able to connect my phone with the bluetooth soundbar at room, it would be great if there are some kind of "instruction" available. The bed if a bit too hard for me but comfy enough I would say.

The hotel is new and beautiful. The room is quite spacious, clean, and well designed. It also comes with nice view of the Shirakawa Canal. The bathtub was a plus, particularly after a day-long walk in cool weather. Great location where close to an underground station and within 10 mins walk to Gion. Staffs are helpful and courteous in overall. I shall come back again.
