Most convenient hotel if you plan to stay overnight at Murodo. Half board meals was ok, and quite a lot of food. Old style hotel, but facilities remained good. Love the lounge with piano on 5th floor. Staff were polite. Public hot bath is pretty small.

Best hotel in Tateyama Kurobe alpine route, it’s just ontop of murodo station right at the peak of tateyama. Rooms are abit old but comfy and clean. Free private bath is very clean too.

Convenient location. We are happy to stay for a night here during the trip to Alpen route. We had a walk at Murodo. After the dinner, we attended a slide presentation about the culture and history of the area. Then went out to the roof for star gazing. We planned to send some postcards from the Murodo station. However,we found that the post office was closed at 14:00. We seeked help from the front desk. Luckily, they have kept some stamps for selling to the guests. We may also take the complementary postcards in the room.

The pillows were too thin. Breakfast selection is too limited and didn’t keep really warm.

The dinner was good. Fresh. And the location was good. Finally, the staff were great! Caring, attentive and courteous. One staff (伍 name tag) from the restaurant went the extra mile to assist us with some payment issues. We also noticed how courteous she was towards other guests. Attentive, all smiles, and full of energy. Warms the cockles of our hearts when we see such welcoming staff.

It was a good decision to break our Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route and stay on Mt Tateyama for a night to enjoy the beautiful surroundings at Murodo. We stayed at Tateyama Hotel as it is the only Hotel at the Murodo Station. The Reception Team was friendly and efficient especially Suzuki-san who was very helpful and patient with our other needs and requirements. Our room was big and spacious as it has 3 beds with a good view of the mountain range below. The dinner and breakfast that came with the room rates were excellent and good respectively. We had a good and enjoyable stay at Tateyama Hotel. Excellent Hotel & staffs👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 One more point : email inquiries to the hotel were promptly answered

Hotel and room are old. Bathroom is very small and room is too dark for our comfort. Very expensive given the room is old and run down.

No quilt blankets were provided. Some kind of woolen heavy blankets were left on the cabinets and not laid out on the bed.

Room is rather basic although beds were comfortable but room was.not warm. Japanese dinner was quite good. Breakfast was just ok.

When we arrived & go to the hotel’s Japanese Restaurant for lunch, it was fully booked for other tour groups on day trip. There is also not much option for us. At least, they should have a few tables for hotel guests as we paid a high premiums for their rooms.

convenient place to stay when competing the Alpine route. stay spoke some English to help foreigners settle in and everything was nice and clean. it was the biggest room we’ve stayed in so far in Japan so was very comfortable to rest as well as Onsen facilities were available. food was delicious and they had many tours we could simply join as a hotel guest like the sunrise tour, or star gazing tour.
