Excellent location traditional Japanese style hotel

We did have a little trouble with the heater initially but everything worked out later. Although the facilities is not top-notch or new, it works great and everything is wonderful, especially for the price.

The location was great because it is located in a shopping district with great access to food and other stores for buying souvenirs. It is also a short 5 min walk to the outskirts of Nara Park and some local museums. The breakfast tastes AMAZING with great service. They ask you when you want your breakfast and you show up with everything already prepared for you. Since its a ryokan, everything is very traditional so the service, the facilities, and everything else gives you a great experience of the Japanese culture

I was able to sleep fine but an option for softer pillows would be nice since these were quite hard (but these kinds of pillows seem to be the standard in Japan, so maybe there's not that much that can be done.)

Very pleasant stay - friendly, English-speaking staff, clean and comfortable room. Great location. Didn't pay for breakfast/dinner so I can't comment on the food.

Early check out time 10.00 am Very Late check in time 16.00.. Lucky to let us stay there at all! Hotel close at 23.00 so.must come back early from night out. Big noise next door from construction work. Why did it take them one night to.move us to a better, quieter room?

All really good.

The place is nice and is very close to most of the main attractions in nara. They provided yukatas and slippers and the access to the public baths was included. Very particular experience that let's you immerse in a traditional Japanese experience.

Although it wasn't a big problem for us, the check-in time is pretty late and the check-out time relatively early. For the price, the inclusion of some kind of a (simple) breakfast also would have been nice.

Big room with an en-suite bathroom, clean, quiet and great location for visiting the sights in Nara and next to shops/dinner options.

The Ryokan is literally 1min walk from the station, in a peatonal street full of shops. The personal was very kind and they were always trying to help. They took care of our luggage before the check in and after the check out. The room was amazing with tatami floor and they left a yukata for each gest. The Onsen was amazing and very relaxing. The breakfast was incredible, everything in the menu was amazing and very tasty. 100% recommended

The properly is located right in the middle of a busy shopping street/shopping arcade. You literally exit the properly and are right there at the different shops and restaurants so location is perfect! It is also about a 2 minute walk from the famous mochi pounding. The staff are very friendly. The accommodation is a Ryokan so very different from your normal hotels, but it is a great experience and a must do for your stay in Japan! There is nowhere to leave your luggage before check in, but there is a small and quiet train station about 5 minutes away where there are plenty of coin lockers available.

If you’re looking for something traditional there’s nothing traditional about it, apart from the breakfast which was really good but definitely not worth it paying the price.

Lovely spacious tatami room, very comfortable futon. Room did have ensuite bathroom, but we enjoyed the nice big hot shared baths available, much like going to a sento. Yukata were provided too. Teas and senbei in the room were very welcoming.

location is perfect in the heart of city , everything around the hotel. clear and friendly staff. best to stay in Nara with Japanese style accommodation. Recommend.
