Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

JapanCheck in time was a bit late (16:00) but luckily we could check in a bit earlier.
The staffs were very kind and there is a nice rooftop terrace. Also there is a nice cafe nearby called Pie cafe. And very accessible to Kiyomizu Temple area. Multiple bus stops are located near hotel as well so easy to access to Kyoto Station

Location is great! Kyoto Station, Gion, etc. are close-by. Suitcases fit under the beds!

Lovely staff made the stay very pleasant. They were always ready to help with explanations, umbrellas or extra pillows, and friendly greetings. They also dealt efficiently with receiving and sending our luggage to Tokyo. Amenities include a very useful laundry room; a free hot/cold drinks machine and a small kitchen in the lobby; and a terrace with chairs on the top floor. Location is good too (half an hour's walk from Kyoto train station, but close to Gion and Kiyomizu-dera temple).

JapanIf I had to say anything, the amenities and the room were somewhat plain, but it wasn’t an issue and wouldn’t deter me from staying here again.
The location was so convenient for going to Kiyomizu-dera and catching the bus go travel around Kyoto. The staff members were super helpful and nice. The lobby area had a comfortable lounge area to spend time in.

GermanyThe wifi on the 3rd floor was quite bad😢
The hotel is situated in the traditional neighborhood of Sannenzaka, just a small walk to Kyomizudera. There are many souvenir shops around, food stalls and sweets, so there are plenty of options for a quick bite. Even after they close at 18:00( yes quite early), there is a convenience store just a couple of minutes away. There is also microwave at the lobby where you can heat up food and eat it in your room or at the lobby tables. The room itself was spotless and spacious for Japanese standards. The bathroom was equipped with a new age toilet ( the one we all love) and shower products. I really liked the bed, which was very firm, but if you don’t, you can ask for a topper or extra pillows. If you want to go the center of the town or to the train station, there is a bus stop just a minute away. Finally, the people at the reception were the stars of this hotel. Very polite, friendly and helpful, ready to accommodate our every need. They will also store your luggage, if you have a late flight and give you cookies when you check out!

AustraliaConvenient location to Kiyomizu temple and the district leading up to the temple. Easy access to public transport (bus route down the road). There were English speaking staff that helped with our smooth check-in in. They also offered luggage delivery servi, es so we had ours shipped to this location and used their shipping services to ship it to our next location. Ground floor had amenities needed, including free warm/cold drinks from their dispenser. Comfort wise for the room - spacious and had everything you needed. Beds are firm however wasn't too much of an issue for us. Washing machine and dryer available upstairs to use as well. Would stay here again if we come back to Kyoto!
