Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

SingaporeIt was perfect in every way we didn't want to leave! The view of mt Fuji from our room was totally unexpected. The staff at the front desk, Yohei was super helpful and friendly. The hotel is a short bus ride from kamakura station via bus number 40 that runs very 15-20min. Full amenities in every room including pyjamas so you can pack light. Thank you so much for the wonderful experience. We definitely want to come back, soon!

AustraliaThe website should be more clear that the restaurant doesn't allow children. It didn't matter as we had a lovely little kitchen but it would have been nice to know in advance. Some of the staff members aren't very friendly. They seem stressed and understaffed - unusual as the accommodation is very expensive so I expected good and kind customer service throughout. Not a complaint - but just a suggestion - if food and drinks were sold by the pool we would have spent a LOT of money up there! :)
The man who checked us in and showed us to our room was so so kind. He used to live in Australia and was so helpful. Even showed me some parking options on a map as the hotel carpark spots were booked up for the long weekend. The pool is incredible - almost unheard of in Japan. No silly rules about swimming caps etc. The rooms are BEAUTIFUL! Big and cozy and modern and clean. So so so happy!

United States Parking is 2009. With the price of the room parking should be included with the cost. I had a little to no room getting out of my vehicle because the parking was so tight. I turned the couch into a bed because my son didn’t want to sleep in the same bed as his sisters. When I checked out, they charge me ¥3000 to make a bed, ridiculous. I would’ve had him sleep on the couch if I would’ve known the cost.  shopping, Cafés, restaurants, and places to grab a snack are not within walking distance.
You are right on the water. Every room looks towards the ocean. Very big and open the refrigerator included a couple beverages and plenty of amenities in the bathroom. There is a projector screen that comes down which is nice if you’re sitting down with the family.
