AustraliaThe processes are unexpectedly clumsy given that this is a 5-star hotel. At check-in you are first directed to sit at a lounge then almost immediately get up and move to a check-in desk. At check-out, it was the same. Wait at a lounge then almost immediately move to a check-in desk. Then after check-in I stayed at the lounge for about 40 mins waiting for my husband and finally when we went to leave via the elevators, a service staff chased me to the elevators asking if I had already completed check out. They had 40 mins to ask me that question OR they could have checked with their colleague beforehand rather than chasing me down at the elevator.
The hotel room is huge by Japanese hotel standards

AustraliaThe food was terrible either breakfast in the ballroom, which was only on a Saturday, in room breakfast n lunch in the lounge was cold. Every day our breakfast was allocated in a different place, which was very annoying and the hotel western breakfast was very limiting. Two hamburgers were $102 Aus and the spa treatments were good but extremely expensive ranging from $300 to $600 for facials and massages

Czech RepublicThe restaurant with breakfast buffet is advertising on 3 big screens the whole breakfast time the Kahala property in Hawai. Was nice to see but not every morning - we were in Japan so would prefere to see Japan culture.
This well situated hotel near the convention center is moder, new and well cleaned property. The check in was very personalized and all staff is very professional. The receptionist escorted us to the room, showed us all possibilities and services. The room was large with nice view to harbor. The breakfasts were served in several ways - can make a reservation in buffet restaurant or a la carte restaurant Ozzio. The service in Ozzio restaurant was as in Michelin star restaurant (very professional and attentive service). The spa area with swiming pool, sauna and ,,onsen,, pools with hot waters were amazing.

PolandThe staff was everywhere and they did not let you do anything or go anywhere without them. I understand this is the hotel’s policy and is supposed to be helpful, but in fact it is not. Sometimes we felt overwhelemed and not comfortable, e.g. in the locker room in spa area, we would prefer more privacy. Additionally, when we got back to the room in the evening our clothes as well as the bed were a little wet. I do not know why because we left the AC working so the air should be dry. But as we stayed for 2 nights only it was not a major problem.
The hotel is new and comfortable. The room was quite large, beds were also comfortable, we slept very well. Air condition works perfectly, it cools the room but does not make any noise and you do not get cold. The swimming pool looked clean. Location is also convenient in Yokohama.

Ideal location between the Yokohama station and the ocean. Great room with high comfort. Several breakfast facilities in the hotel. They are all great (Buffet, traditional, Italian; I missed the in-room option). Different styles but I loved them all. The gym, pool, onsen was super. I used it a lot.

SwitzerlandI travel a lot and get to experience many hotels in many countries. The following are why I wouldn't stay at this property again. I arrived early to the hotel from an overnight flight. On arrival I was told my room was ready and available, great I thought. But you can't check in until 3pm. I'd rather they had said your room won't be ready until 3pm. I was told the only way to check in earlier was to pay an extra nights full price room rate. This was negotiated down to 50% off the rack rate (bit cheaper than the Booking.com rate but not much). If you want to gain guest loyalty an earlier check in would have been an easy way to do this. Of course I understand that I have no right to expect an early check in! The process and staff reaction just left a bit of a negative feeling from the start. The spa was one of the reasons I chose this hotel. I went to see / find out opening hours. I was told I had to pay nearly 4000 Yen to use the spa which was surprising. To just use the the pool? Same cost. I didn't take up the option. I can't remember ever being charged anything to use a hotel pool in any other hotel. Gym. I always try to book a hotel with a gym. It was small but equipment was ok. I was wearing flip flops and staff told me my flip flops had been used outside so I couldn't look at the gym wearing them. I took them off, looked around but I also wasn't allowed to use any shoe that had been worn outside when using the gym. I don't know anyone who carries a brand new pair of trainers that have never been used outside so I couldn't use the gym. Again a first. I used the bands I carry with me and trained in my room. Breakfast. I just wanted a coffee in the morning but was told I had to pay for the whole breakfast, I couldn't just pay to have a coffee. This was again a first. I said I'd just go to a coffee shop outside when I was eventually told I could pay just to have coffee without paying for a full breakfast.
The hotel from the outset was good. Very clean (almost clinical) and the staff were very polite and friendly (but inflexible) The room was very good, bed very comfortable and all the things you could want from a hotel room were there. The room design was also functional and spacious. WIFI was great and service from staff in the lobby restaurant was very good. If you just want a very clean, nice looking quiet hotel with a good bed and friendly and polite staff you wouldn't be disappointed.
