The floor of my room had hairs from previous guests and there wasn’t conditioner at the shower.

The location was incredible, around of one of the most beautiful areas of Kyoto city. Also the facilities were great. The room size for one person is really good if you didn’t over pack.

Everything was great and the hotel was clean and having fresh towels every day was great. The location is great, you are close to the subways and lots of destinations and restaurants.

The best Hostel I ever stayed in. The pods are small but well-designed rooms with enough space to change and organize luggage. The elevated platform is a great way of creating storage space and making the futon experience very inviting. During my trip to Japan, I also stayed at a hotel, and two other Hostels - The Pocket had, surprisingly, the most comfortable mattress. I loved folding my bed, making space for my little table and chilling in my personal space after walking so much in Kyoto. The women's bathrooms are amazing, I did laundry in the bigger one on the ground floor but mostly used the one on the women's floor. The lighting for makeup is amazing and it was spotless. Very well-equipped and clean place overall. I will recommend this to any friends travelling to Kyoto, great price for what you are getting.

Very good location, in the center. Very clean and nicely designed hootel areas inside. Helpful staff. It was not overcrowded at all when I was there, I did not meet many people in the bathrooms.

Showers aren't on the same floor. Also no hangers or any room at all to place your stuff in the room. For one person is perfect, for 2 is too small.

There was not much space in the room for the luggage. I was travelling with a medium suitcase, but it was difficult to open the door. The breakfast was awful. One day i missed it, because i went to the cafe and the queue was so long that i would not have made it. Definitely should have skipped this.

Location was good, and the bathrooms were clean and had all the amenitites needed. I was able to send my bag ahead from Tokyo. Unfortunately they could not send onwards, and the place across the road said it would take 3 days to deliver to Osaka, so i skipped that. The property was good, but the price was a lot more than it was worth...

Very clean, central and affordable. This is an exemplary budget motel. Rooms are small, but typical for this price range. Everything smells fresh and clean. The shared amenities are also great. Perhaps the most appreciated aspect of staying here is the sound proofing in the rooms. Very quiet.

Obviously I knew booking a pocket hotel the rooms weren’t big, so of course they were a little squishy. But I wouldn’t say I didn’t like this, but maybe some people might.

The location was great, in a vibrant area and close to lots of sights. It was modern, fresh and had very friendly staff who were welcoming and helpful. Everything was super clean and secure, you needed your keycard wherever you went which made it feel safe.

For the amount of guests (during golden week), probably not enough showers available as during crunch hours (8-10PM) there was always a queue in the men’s showers.

Great place, automated check in procedure maybe a little rusty, but there’s always staff to help. Rooms on the smaller side, but not really an issue.

The property was easy to find coming from Kyoto Station and it is a road away from a big shopping street with a few cafes, bars and restaurants. There’s also a lot of bus stops which can be accessed. Check-in was very easy to complete and the staff are ready to help. The shared showers (separated by gender) were on the first floor and were very spacious with a lot of individual showers available to use. The hotel provided pyjamas and other amenities, in the shared lounge area there’s also multiple maps and guides to places nearby. The room was great and clean, with information booklet provided. The breakfast place was also just a few meters away on foot and the meal deals were also very nice.

Nothing really.. if they have any bigger 4 person room setting without the connecting room mode, that would make it perfect if there is a family or a bigger group..

round the corner from Nishiki market.. at the heart of bustling Kyoto.. near to everything.. from kombini to takashimaya.. from Nintendo to Pokemon centre.. Food wise, no worries from breakfast to dinners.. and you're spoilt for choice..

It's really a good choice for solo travelers especially for girls! Feel secure and clean, eco friendly too. The staff is helpful. And they added on the small table recently, which is a nice point for me.
