The bathroom/showers is only on the ground floor, a bit troublesome to get to.

The room was exceptionally clean and comfortable, with well thought out facilities e.g. chargers and plug points. I love the wooden platform design. I booked this twin room but I stayed alone, so it has plenty of space for me to unpack my items and rest more comfortably. Bathroom is great, super clean, and the washing machine is super useful. They provide pajamas for changing. Location is right in the center of Kyoto along Shijo/Karasuma/Kawaramachi, easy to get to places with a little bit of walking. Staffs were super friendly and helpful.

I must say, there is not much to comment here! It depends what you are looking for, but as I see it, it is a very clever way to use the space and but keep the cosiness.

This hotel was one of the ones that I thought it was going to be in the smaller size. But let me tell you, they worked on how to commit with the "pocket size" and mix it with comfort. Even though is a small room, they made it so you can organize yourself and be able to rest. Even though, I wouldn't use it for relaxation and a place to chill, it is the perfect location and perfect place to start getting anywhere in Kyoto. I was very surprised. Everything was very clean and they keep everything in order everyday.

Sorry, but there is not.

The location is the best. You can easily go to enywhere in Kyoto by taking the subway close to the hotel and just 2 stops from Kyoto station. You can walk to Kamo river to take a deep breath and walk a little bit to gion area. No worry about the food, there're a ton of groceries and restaurants around the hotel and the Nishiki market is just 3 minutes walking from the hotel. The staffs are so great, they are helpful. I felt so comfortable here and need to stay 10 days more.

As with any hostel/hotel and shared bathroom space, it felt uncleaned at times between cleanings, however I think it is more of us as visitors boot taking care of shared space than the staff of the hotel.

The location was incredible, around of one of the most beautiful areas of Kyoto city. Also the facilities were great. The room size for one person is really good if you didn’t over pack.

The best Hostel I ever stayed in. The pods are small but well-designed rooms with enough space to change and organize luggage. The elevated platform is a great way of creating storage space and making the futon experience very inviting. During my trip to Japan, I also stayed at a hotel, and two other Hostels - The Pocket had, surprisingly, the most comfortable mattress. I loved folding my bed, making space for my little table and chilling in my personal space after walking so much in Kyoto. The women's bathrooms are amazing, I did laundry in the bigger one on the ground floor but mostly used the one on the women's floor. The lighting for makeup is amazing and it was spotless. Very well-equipped and clean place overall. I will recommend this to any friends travelling to Kyoto, great price for what you are getting.

There was not much space in the room for the luggage. I was travelling with a medium suitcase, but it was difficult to open the door. The breakfast was awful. One day i missed it, because i went to the cafe and the queue was so long that i would not have made it. Definitely should have skipped this.

Location was good, and the bathrooms were clean and had all the amenitites needed. I was able to send my bag ahead from Tokyo. Unfortunately they could not send onwards, and the place across the road said it would take 3 days to deliver to Osaka, so i skipped that. The property was good, but the price was a lot more than it was worth...
