It is bit away from the old parts of Kyoto. It takes some time to reach the main areas of Kyoto.

It was right across a big park and railway museum, which our son really enjoyed.

Very clean room and good size for two people.the is a supermarket next door to hotel door .. one minute walking distance from the train station and one minute from public bus stop. The is a big public park next to it and also the aquarium is one minute walk from the hotel and other attractions too

I’m not marking this as a complaint, just a note for others. The beds were very firm and our room was pretty tight for our family.

We absolutely enjoyed this hotel for our family of four as a home base for our Kyoto stay. The location was perfect - about a 20 minute walk from Kyoto Station; directly next to Umekoji-Kyotonoshu station; and the end of the street from a bus stop to catch the local 207 bus. There’s also a Starbucks and Family Mart on the first floor of the hotel. The staff was wonderful! Friendly, professional, and helpful. The self check-in/out was easy, and staff was nearby for help. The room was perfectly clean, the bathroom was beautiful and provided lots of amenities. Towels were fluffy. We loved our stay!

The property was located in a place with good transport but it will be a little difficult to navigate if you’re not familiar with transport in Japan.

It was clean and the surrounding was beautiful within the hotel. Loved their bathroom with a nice shower and bath. 10/10 for the hotel itself.

Great location, 3 mins walk to the tube station, one stop from Kyoto station, 12 mins with San-in line directly to Arashiyama. It’s also located in between railway museum and Kyoto aquarium, lovely places for kids to visit. Lots of local restaurants around the area with walking distance. There’s also park for kids to go downstairs. Family Mart is next to the hotel, which has an entrance from inside of the hotel. 711 is only 3 mins walk. Staff are nice and friendly. It’s also very quiet too! Highly recommended!

Probably add more washing machine/dryer at the laundromat :). My daughter spent hours doing our laundry at night because of the queue.

Very close to the train station (just across the park). Family mart downstairs, easy check in (with a bit of help) and check out. Amenities were good. Love that japan hotels provide pyjamas. Laundromat available, you just need to queue. Next to a beautiful park, walking distance to Kyoto aquarium. The best hotel we stayed at during our 3 week stint in Japan.

Bed mattresses were a little hard and not very comfortable for our taste. There are no closets.

Good breakfast with several local and international options. Convenient location close to the JR train station. Very nice staff - they made a picture of us and decorated it as a little present for our honeymoon stay.

Locates near JR station and only 1 min walk. Atmosphere are great with park and musuem nearby. Hotel also has Public Onsen which is great for relax. I will come back again for sure

the japanese option for the breakfast wasn't tasty :( I have the impression that it wasnt quite what it should be (e.g. fried soft tofu combined with salad). Chicken nuggets were terrible. And that's all :)

standard room, daily cleaning, cleanliness, nice breakfast option - omlet, freshly prepared sandwich, service, shop below. Bed was incredibly comfortable!
