How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Japan's Share hotels offer a very nice standardized hotel experience, as you know, what you will get. Good and quiet central location.

The toilet was not clean at all; under the rim. Bathroom had dark mould around the edges.
Great location opposite the train station and good eating.

Close to everything with excellent food choices around and shopping. The kids loved the bunk bed option too. The husband loved the downstairs espresso bar.

The tiny window that you couldn't see out of and just opened on to an alley way. We were on the ground floor so other rooms higher up may have better windows.
Best thing about the hotel is the fantastic central location within easy walking distance to the Peace Park and very close to shops, bars and restaurants. It provides a well equipped kitchen and a pleasant sitting area for guests' use. The rooms are well designed so seem roomier than they are. e.g. We had a standard twin room which was only 19 sq m but it didn't feel cramped. Beds are comfortable. Despite the one negative below I would still highly recommend this hotel.

Room on the ground floor didn’t have a proper window, the way the room is laid out makes it hard to get in and out the door with any kind of bag or stroller.
Comfortable beds, excellent location, interesting building, coin laundry available, reasonable price.

Good location in Hiroshima, 15 min walk to the Peace Memorial. The lounge / restaurant area is beautiful . Nice breakfast - pancakes with different toppings. Very good coffee. Room quite specious.

The check out at 10AM is a bit early and very strict check in policy at 15:00. They will not let you in earlier even if the room is ready. Also, there we’re lipstick mark on one of the mugs in our room.
The location is fantastic! It’s a very nice, simple yet modern hotel. Overall, it’s a comfortable hotel.

Nothing , everything and everyone was great.
We loved this place. Everything was great. The bathroom and shower room was amazing. The breakfast was fantastic and the location perfect. Our first time in Japan and the first day but we have a great stay at KIRO and we will be happy to go again.

Room is a little small for our family of 3. Our luggages occupied a lot of the floor space.
I enjoyed staying at Kiro. Staff are friendly and helpful. Stylish hotel and good facilities, including coin laundry and dryer. Limited breadfast selection but good quality still.

Rooms a little small but having a big guest kitchen and lounge made this ok. Pillows are pretty uncomfortable but apart from that room was great.
Great hotel in wonderful location. Shops and restraints and cafes and bars close by and easy to get to all the sites. The best thing was the shared kitchen and poolside guest lounge where you could hang out.

We were 3. The room had a one single bed and one two stores bed. The room was very clean, but really small with the suitcases we had no place to move ;-(. Booked a breakfast once...it was weird for us and not sutisfing.

The breakfast crepe was nice, but as the only thing on offer for 3 days in a row, think some bread/toast could have been offered also just to allow a little variation. A minor point though.
Amazing property, great vibe and location for exploring Hiroshima. Our 4 bed room for whole family was a lot of fun! The converted pool/dining room was just an amazing space to eat and chill in.

A great hotel with very helpful staff and some good facilities. We booked a single room with little sleeper compartments and that worked really well for us as a family. We could have chosen to breakfast there, but there were plenty of nearby options.

Strange pillows. Only 1 hook to hang towels, could easily put an extra hook in bathroom for 2nd towel and a couple of hooks in main room for coats would be helpful
