Hotel was very clean and had everything a family with two kids needed. The staff are friendly and professional. The location of the hotel is fantastic with easy access to transport or walking distance to all areas of interest.

3 people, the ventilation unit could be a little stronger.

Centrally located. Quiet. Good beds. Clean. Well planned space use. The living space on the 4th floor. The staff were extremely helpful. The little touches. Then shampoo and body care products were excellent. The light scent in the building was pleasant and relaxing.

The pillows are not really comfy, but we asked for softer ones and they kindly gave us a change. There is no place where you can store your clothes.

The location is perfect, really cool design, kind service. The breakfast was high quality however not really the menu didn't really have our favourite things we usually eat so we had it only once. The bathroom was beautiful.

While I loved the feeling of the room, it felt a bit too basic, there wasn't a wardrobe, and there was only a single bar attached to the wall and a few hangers. It would have been great to provide a few more hangers, and/or also more racks or hooks in the toilet. The toilet walls may need a better quality paint or tile, when water splashes, they leave water stains.

Loved the overall vibe of the hotel, it's pretty new, and the interior style is minimalistic and slightly industrial. The window in my room wasn't meant to be opened (am assuming because of the lack of a view), but the layer of glass meant natural light could still come in in the day. I also like that there's a cafe and shop downstairs, and a shared common area. The location is also great and walkable to places like Pontocho Alley. Everything feels nice and new.

Room had poor ventilation (bit stuffy) and mattress and pillows were pretty average in comparison to the rest of the amenities provided. Also would suggest vegetarian options for breakfast be made clear (or better yet, at least one vego option for breakfast other than buttered toast).

Hotel is thoughtfully presented and staff were super helpful. Rooms were modern and light filled. Loved that guests could choose what extra things they might need rather than encouraging waste. Reusable and refillable products fantastic!

Tiniest rubbish bin I've encountered. Would have been better to have a wider bin.

Very helpful & friendly staff. Accommodated our request for room views and stored our luggages for 8 hours post check out 10am ( our next scheduled trip to another city was not due until 8pm ) with no extra charges or issues. Walking distance to shops/cafes and bus stops (5-15 min). Beds (bunk) slightly small.

Bed and pillows were not that comfortable.

The staff were very helpful and nice. Our room was big and spacious-comfortable to fit family of four. We also enjoyed using the common living area where you can re-heat your food, eat at a dining table, and just hang around. Area was quiet and it was nice to walk around the neighborhood where there are small shops and restaurants.

You have to book place for breakfast. Although i understand it since there’s only 2 girls preparing it upon arrival and they do it to make sure you don’t wait too much, it can be a bit tedious for an unplanner like me. However, they were very kind and tried to make sure they had place at the time you wanted.

Design, really good breakfast, very clean, nice bathroom, spacious for Japan standards

The bed and pillows could definitely be more comfortable, but it doesn't matter much after a full day of activities when you're tired. This is very subjective.

The location is fantastic for a first-time visit to Kyoto. It's very close to several streets with shops and restaurants, which is highly recommended. The hotel has a nice vibe, a good breakfast, and a café. The staff are very friendly and helpful. I would stay here again.

There’s no spoon in the room and have to visit the common kitchen

The bed was really huge and comfy but the not all pillows are as comfy. The room and bathroom are really big and clean too. They provide a clothes refresher which was a plus! Amenities are taken from the lobby for things and the staffs always greet us with a smile in the lobby. The breakfast was really good too! Highly recommend to try it!

While the breakfast was delicious, it's sort of a set meal- you can choose your drink (coffee, tea or juice), you can choose your carb (usually there was buttered toast, toast with almond spread or jam spread, or egg or ham sandwich) and then there's a plate with a variety of veggies and small shot of soup. It's not a buffet, and not a japanese breakfast, so eating multiple days in a row can have you craving more variety. Also you had to "reserve" your eating time in advance since there are limited tables, works well only if you're up the same time everyday.

This place is modern and minimalist. The hotel is cutting down on plastic so there's a community kitchen on the 4th floor where you can fill up with filtered cold water, there's also a refrigerator/freezer, water heater, microwave, toaster and stovetop for food storage/prep. There's a huge table and chairs to sit and eat and a reading area to relax or chat with other guests. Guests during the week seemed mainly foreigners with more japanese on the weekend. The bathroom doesn't have a lot of space to put vanity items, but the toilet is nice with heated water for the bidet and the shower/furo (bathtub) was japanese style, spacious and relaxing after a day walking around. There wasn't a lot of room to move around the beds or lay out suitcases, but the beds were comfy and the walls were concrete which made it very quiet, and the window shutters did a great job of keeping the room dark. Hotel staff varied but overall very friendly and helpful answering questions and ordering a taxi for us (our hotel in Tokyo said they would charge us extra if they ordered a taxi). It's a short walk from public transportation and from a lot of shopping and places to eat, but it's not on a main road.
