Spacious well equipped rooms. Amazing breakfasts delivered to the room each morning at the time of your choice. Staff couldn’t do enough for you. Great place to shake off the jet lag.

It is a little away from the attractions which is exactly what I wanted but others may find it too far from the tourist areas.

Beautiful place with comfortable amenities and clean facilities. But without a doubt the best part of the stay was the people at the hotel. They were incredible welcoming, very nice and made us feel at home. It was our first time in Japan and the staff went out of their to make us feel welcomed. Highly recommend this fantastic hotel.

The Japanese breakfast was not to my liking so I chose the western style breakfast for the other mornings! Not a negative just don’t fancy sushi that early.

This hotel is amazing! Feels boutique as small but with beautiful facilities and really spacious bedroom with living area. Lovely breakfast served to the bedroom each morning. The staff could not have been more kind and helpful! Really comfortable bed.

It was our second visit to the Tomoya Residence Hotel. We went in 2023 and also 2024. We decided to go back because the room was very clean, the staff very professional and the location very good. The hotel remind me of my grandparent hotel and feels very like home. We got a room upgrade on the second trip and it was an amazing surprise. We appreciate the gesture and really enjoy our trip. We would definitely come back.

Breakfast was good but would of liked to be able to select/delete options as we felt bad that we wasted food.

Beautifully appointed property, comfortable and clean. The staff was awesome and having breakfast delivered to the room was a nice touch. We enjoyed the location as it was close to main streets but also quiet. Would definitely stay here again!

It was lovely, the only small downside was maybe the breakfast. It was good, but it could use a little variety.

We loved staying at Tomoya Residence. It was a great experience. Our rooms very really spacious and nice. The staff at the hotel was amazing, very professional and friendly. We felt that all of our needs were 100% met. I would definitely book this hotel again.

The room is a perfect peaceful blend of Japanese style and Western convenience. It is in a touristy part of Kyoto (but pretty much all of central Kyoto falls into that category now).

Excellent new apartment style hotel in nice part of the city on very quiet street. Good breakfast served in room each morning. Accommodation facilities excellent. Beautiful bathroom. Plenty of space for storage. Staff were exceptional. Even helped us track down a personal item left on a train. They were very friendly and kind.

The room is very spacious, I could easily lay 2 luggage in the living room and pack them up in the storage room. The location is about 5 5-minute fast walk to the subway station. The hotel is spotless and the hospitality from the staff is second to none! I would strongly recommend this hotel to anyone who is visiting Kyoto.

It’s situated in a quieter neighbourhood so it’s about a 15-20 min walk to the main shopping/dining area around Teramachi which some might find a little far. But there were dining options in the area and convenience stores were also available. Wifi could have been better but it didn’t really affect us.

Our rooms were large, quiet, & very clean. Staff were always very excellent, friendly and helpful. We felt very well looked-after as there was always someone at the front desk (someone is available 24 hrs a day). Thank you for a wonderful stay!

We loved staying here and wished it was longer. The room was beautifully appointed, and every detail was perfect. The large room, spacious bathroom, walk-in wardrobe, comfortable lounge, and armchair. Breakfast was brought to our room in the morning, and it was delicious. We were met with hot towel and a cup of tea on arrival. It was very peaceful and an easy walk to the train station.
