Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

CanadaA very minor quip, but you have to transfer elevators to access the showers.
Convenient location near many attractions and walkable from the train station. Friendly staff. Breakfast available. The social room was usually social. You can stand in your capsule.

BulgariaThere is no secure place where you can put your suitcase. You place it in the shared space and hope that nobody will take it.
It is a capsule hotel after all - there is nothing much to impress you. This was my second capsule hotel, so if I have to compare it was better. The space is very good for a capsule. The onsen is also not bad. The location is excellent!

CanadaThe mattress in the pod was extremely hard, it was not a comfortable bed. The staff also started elevator maintenance while I was in the basement so I was stuck there with no way of contacting them or leaving, and this was before the times reserved for maintenance.
The hotel was very nice, clean, and comfortable. The staff was nice and spoke amazing english. The pod was spacious and clean. The showers and baths were very nice. The location was perfect to go almost everywhere on foot and directly in front of a bus stop.

FranceI didn't like the night so much, the mattress was a bit hard (but that's quite logical in a capsule). There was very little soundproofing and I spent the night with a neighbour who coughed a lot during the night and another who snored very loudly. So I had a bit of trouble sleeping.
I liked the facilities (onsen, sauna...). Also the products provided (toothbrush, cream, pyjamas, etc.). Very good value for money. The staff are attentive and friendly. facilities are also available for luggages.

HungaryThe pods only have a curatin instead of doors, so you can hear everything happening on the floor and if you get noisy neighbours, its hard to get some sleep.
It is very close to the most exciting sites, like the castle park and the samurai district. The price is very good and it has a nice bar in the lobby where you can taste a lot of sakes.

United Statestake public transportation if you want to access it, walking is not long on Googlemaps but with all the traffic lights it can turn into a 30min walk. However once there close to a lot of attractions.
Great SPA, Onsen and Sauna availability for women and men, common area to have a drink or a snack in the morning / evening. Great for runners, once you hit the river trails.

United KingdomThere was a lot of dust in the room so it looked like a thorough clean hadn’t taken place for some time.
I liked how there was enough space within my room, the bed was comfy, and to have a TV and a fridge was a bonus although I didn’t use them.

IrelandBeds were quite hard and duvet thin. You can hear everyone moving around even with ear plugs as the privacy blind doesn't close all the way down so there's a gap near the floor where light comes into the pod. The light switch also lights up very brightly which was a little annoying. Woke up to people moving around at 5am and could hear someone snoring all night down the hall.
Very convenient place and very clean. Felt very safe and there's a mini onsen in the basement that's free for guests to use which was lovely. Nice lounge area upstairs aswell.

United StatesThe door to the pods from the hallway broke, and they ended up having to keep the door open. This caused the loud elevator chime noises to bleed into the room.
Torifito greatly exceeded all my expectations. The location was fantastic, as it was close to everything a tourist would possibly want in Kanazawa. For the price, the pods were generally quite big, and the bathing facilities were wonderful. I would HIGHLY recommend spending the extra 1000 yen on breakfast. The spread includes some delicious chocolate croissants, fried rice, fried chicken, meatballs, and sausages. However, the standout is the local honey you can use free of charge. As a honey connoisseur, I confidently declare that Yamagishi Bee Farms honey is among the best I've ever had. You're doing yourself a disservice if you don't try it.

CanadaThe walls are literally paper thin so if you cough or fart everyone will hear it lol. And the guy snoring down the hallway you're gonna hear him too. First time I've ever worn earplugs at a hostel.
The pods are very futuristic and clean. The spa bathroom is very nice and all the toilets are nice and new. All the amenities I could ask for. Free pajamas were a nice touch.

NetherlandsHard bed but that is not rare in Japan. The other guests (mainly japanese) were snoring (get a private room if you know this) and being loud aswell, not used to that from the Japanese. Might have been bad luck.
Space in superior pod is nice, can store your luggage in there aswell under your bed. Behind a lock aswell.

United Kingdom- The pods were not well light-insulated. Make sure you bring an eye-mask in case light worries you - The bed was way too hard, almost like sleeping on a rock. I'd wake up middle of the night having my arms numb... - A ridiculously loud snorer in the pod opposite me, not hotel's fault I just want to mention this can happen :D
- All one needs: tootbrushes, ear plugs, towels, toiletries... - Super clean - There was even a spa!

United KingdomLack of entertainment in the common room, or bar. The bath water in the spa was so hot it was impossible to stay in more than a couple of minutes (and I am used to very hot onsen and baths). The shutters in the pod do not go down to the floor, it made me feel quite vulnerable.
It is very well situated, within easy distance of every visiting area and the train station, easy access and feels very secure.
