Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

IndiaNothing as such. The breakfast is not a buffet. You get coupon which has to be shown to the attached restaurant. They have few fixed options menu. Unfortunately there were no vegetarian options.
The location was very close to subway. It helped in local movement and to airport. Lot of eateries and shopping places in the nearby areas. As expected it was very clean, modern and the staff very helpful.

South AfricaRoom was really small - I found the size to be fine as a solo traveller but it would definitely be a tight squeeze for 2.
The room was clean, neat and accessible. There was also a view of the Sumida river from the corridor. Walking distance to Sumida river / Sensoji / Skytree, which made it fun to explore around the area. The area around the hotel was also quiet at night so I didn't need to worry about outside noise. The window right above the bed also ensured lots of natural lighting during the day, even during cloudy days.

Great hotel in Tokyo. Small-ish room, but normal for Tokyo. Very clean and had everything we needed. They provide Japanese -style pijamas that are great as well. Convenient location and great stuff - would definitely recommend.

GermanyOur AC was really dusty and should get maintenance. The windows were not sealing properly, so we had a constant and strong inflow of cold air which we tried to tackle by sealing our door slot with a towel (worked okayish). The AC, on the other hand, would not properly keep the temperature constant and was relatively loud, so we turned it off fornthe nights. The washing machines are in use almost around the clock and it's really hard to do your laundry since there is no list or other system to reserve a slot, which means that you can't properly plan your day and need tons of luck to hit the right moment. The rooms were really small, we did not know where to put our luggage. We'll, we knew that much before hand but 13m² is REALLY small for 2 ppl. and luggage. There should be some proper wardrobe too. The TV only got a hand full of channels, japanese only and mostly teleshopping, and apparently also no way to connect your own devices, what sucks.
The location of the hotel is really good! 10 min walk to Asakusa St., 15 min walk to Sensō-Ji Temple, 10 min to Tawaramachi St. and 1 min to Kuramae. So you can choose from 3 of the main metro lines without any hustle and reach most sightseeing spots in between 15min to 1h. The Hotel is really close to a bridge and the river, with a nice izakaya around the corner and a great ramen- and a good curry place in front of the door. Family Mart, 7/11 and another convenience store are close by too. The panorama is great too, since you can see the golden poo and Tokyo Skytree across the river while walking alongside it. We also walked to the Skytree, what took us around 20 min. The Staff was really friendly and they did their best to help us with everything we needed; the room service was great too! Really friendly and the place was really clean every day, except our AC. The one of the in-laws was spotless though. You can buy a breakfast voucher for the cafe in the same building for 750 or 850 yen, but should be fast since they seem to be "sold out" if you try to buy them in the evening. Breakfast menues are not a lot but tasty, the staff is great!

United StatesMy room was a little noisy since it was on the street side. Ear plugs helped! Next time I would ask for a different room, but I’m very noise sensitive.
The hotel is in a good location between two metro stops and only about a ten minute walk to Senso-Ji temple. It was clean, the room was well laid out. Breakfast was served in the cafe and gave us several choices of a morning set.

AustraliaThe room is much smaller compared to the pictures. I booked the standard one (13m2), and although it is said to be able to accommodate 2 people, please only book when you are on your own. It is two packed for 2 people in that room. As international traveller, you can just open your big suitcase to take something out, and there will be no space left to walk in the room. The bathroom is quite small, so it can be tricky to manage.
Excellent location, close to everything. The train station is literally right in front of the hotel. Absolutely love the laundry area and free drinks in the lobby. They helped store our luggage after we checked out, which was lovely. The room is well equipped and pretty comfy for a short stay.
