Room was a little on the small side, bathroom also small by Western standards, but Onsen facilitites were excellent to compensate.

Beautiful frontage on the Lake. Will need a car to travel around to the Oirase Gorge and other areas of interest. Enjoyed our meals. Hotel staff attended to our large group seating, and food requirements very well.

The room was small, like those of some city-centre type hotels. There is only 1 restaurant that serves only set western dinner (2 choices). As we stayed 3 nights, we could not bear to eat western cuisine again the 3rd night altho the food was good. The price of meals is high.

The hotel has a sizeable garden that leads to the lakeside. Easy access to Oirase Gorge. The environment is peaceful and calm. Ample parking.

My only complaint, and it's a very minor one, is that I would've preferred a Japanese meal for dinner. The restaurant serves only French food, and while it's very good, it kind of loses some of the charm of staying at a ryokan.

Welcome was very warm. We stayed for three nights: - Welcome became cooler every day - Do not eat at the restaurant for three nights: you will be offered three times same breakfast and dinner. Dinner options in the little town are limitied/non existent after 3pm, though we had a nice dinner at Hanaotome, which is inside another hotel. Very simple menu though. Last night we bought suhsi in a supermarket in Towada City and ate it in our room.

Quiet location away from "town". Lakeside, though the lake is quite hard to see because of the trees in the lawn. Lakeview rooms are not really useful, since you hardly can see the lake from your room. The alternative view is tennis court or parking lot. Not as horrible as it sounds.

view was superb. can’t get better than having a view of the lawn and lake just from the bedroom. Definitely ask for the lake facing room. outdoor onsen was also fabulous.

Beautiful place, right on the lake. The rooms were airy and light and the outdoor onsen was superb. We didn't pre-book our meals and as we were cycling had no other option than to eat at the hotel. It was a little expensive but the food was superb. A french menu, which was a nice change, and everything on the 5 course menu was excellent.

When checked out, we were charged for onsen taxes but we did not use it. We didn't pay by the way.

The hotel is located by the Towada Lake. The view from hotel lobby and restaurant is stunning!!! Our room rate included dinner and it was good only took a little too long.
