How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

If one thought the Super Hotel, Tokyo was small then one should not go to the double room at Toyo Hotel. It is made for even smaller people who are obliged to be overly intimate whilst in the room. And the pillows were changed as the original bolster was filled with pebbles. The view from our bedroom window was a wall of the adjacent building. Just 2 metres away. The Hotel’s major “asset” was being near Fukuoka Rail Station, restaurants and convenience stores and of course Rail services.

Sometimes I can smell the drainage smell from the toilet, especially when flushing the toilet.
Convenient location and staff was helpful. On the day I arrived, my luggage was drenched in rain water and the staff helped me wipe it dry before rolling it to the storage area before check-in. Room cleaning was also very thorough.

The coin laundrette is outside the premise beside the smoking area. And the WIFI is spotty. WIFI goes on and off so if anyone is working during their trip, this is going to be a problem. The staff tried to help but the problem persisted. Maybe it's just the room or the floor I'm staying at but maybe this is something you should consider when booking.
Hotel is super close to the main station. Other than that, nothing particularly special about the hotel.

The laundry machines are outside the building slightly sheltered. If it rains heavily, then can be a little troublesome
The hotel is very near the train station, totally value for money and it has a laundry facilities at level 1. The staff were v helpful. They prompted got me a cab to airport which costed only 1600Yen to the international airport. If going to domestic airport, the station is just 2stips away fr domestic airport station. V convenient

Laundry facilities are in the carpark so no laundry during raining day and after midnight, need to walk around the building to get into the building from main entrance. Pillow is too soft & only one is provided. Vacuuming of the room floor can be done better. A black coloured cotton tip was left on the floor below the desk from previous occupant. It is still there when I left.
The location was great, just a few minutes' walk from Hakata station but yet, the neighbourhood is quiet. Staffs are friendly.

My room was a small double non smoking, it smelt of smoke and some other like tiger balm. Told reception who did not care. The design of the big step up into the bathroom box was strange. The whole room felt like you were in a box, floor felt like you were stepping onto solid concrete no rubber support underneath. As a 3 star hotel which I stayed in most my travels around Japan this like was not to my liking. Maybe it was the hole smell thing that put me off.
Great location to hakata station. Got two pillows. Wifi was good.

Some fixed furniture should be taken off as it's inhibiting the smooth movement from the bed to the bathroom. toothbrush are very hard.
Location is not far from Hakata Station. We booked the Room with theatre which is located at end of the corridor. This makes the room bigger than the standard room. Breakfast , mostly Japanese food, not many choice but sufficient for us to have a full & heartly breakfast.

You can smell some cigarett from the hallway
Location, staff. The hotel has central air conditional system. I like sleeping in cold atmosphere, it was nice that the hotel has the fan that I could borrow. You can leave luggage for free on the check out day but if you want to leave it longer then it is 1000 yen/piece/week
