How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

No real complaints. Elevators were small, but facilities otherwise were fine.
Good (if the price is right) option close to both Hakata station (maybe just over 5 minutes walk) and the airport (~10 minutes by bus from the station) . Standard room amenities, everything in good condition.

Room is a bit too small for 2 people. And it’s too pricey during Japan Golden Weekend. 😞
The overall design is nice even though is dated. The location is strategically located. The staff were helpful.

The rooms could be a bit better soundproofed. During my stay, there were some guests that were a bit louder, and i could hear them clearly. Also sometimes you could hear people walking outside in the hallway.
The location is very convininent, just 5 minutes on foot from Hakata station, and thus you can easily take a Train, the subway or a bus. The room was very clean. I also liked how the room had a big modern TV that allowed you to stream your own content from your phone. The staff was very kind!

Excellent service, like everywhere in Japan. Proximity to the Hakata train station is a huge plus. Rooms are equipped with everything and of course clean, clean, clean. I had a very good rest! Would stay again!

The walls are pretty thin so you'll hear a few guests when they talk loudly but it isn't so bad really. It is still a comfortable stay.
The location of the hotel was really convenient for me. It was a few minutes from Hakata station on foot and it is easy to find since it's next to the main road. There's a convenience store right across the hotel. You can leave your luggage before and after check-in, so you can tour around the city comfortably.

If one thought the Super Hotel, Tokyo was small then one should not go to the double room at Toyo Hotel. It is made for even smaller people who are obliged to be overly intimate whilst in the room. And the pillows were changed as the original bolster was filled with pebbles. The view from our bedroom window was a wall of the adjacent building. Just 2 metres away. The Hotel’s major “asset” was being near Fukuoka Rail Station, restaurants and convenience stores and of course Rail services.

Sometimes I can smell the drainage smell from the toilet, especially when flushing the toilet.
Convenient location and staff was helpful. On the day I arrived, my luggage was drenched in rain water and the staff helped me wipe it dry before rolling it to the storage area before check-in. Room cleaning was also very thorough.

The coin laundrette is outside the premise beside the smoking area. And the WIFI is spotty. WIFI goes on and off so if anyone is working during their trip, this is going to be a problem. The staff tried to help but the problem persisted. Maybe it's just the room or the floor I'm staying at but maybe this is something you should consider when booking.
Hotel is super close to the main station. Other than that, nothing particularly special about the hotel.

The laundry machines are outside the building slightly sheltered. If it rains heavily, then can be a little troublesome
The hotel is very near the train station, totally value for money and it has a laundry facilities at level 1. The staff were v helpful. They prompted got me a cab to airport which costed only 1600Yen to the international airport. If going to domestic airport, the station is just 2stips away fr domestic airport station. V convenient

Laundry facilities are in the carpark so no laundry during raining day and after midnight, need to walk around the building to get into the building from main entrance. Pillow is too soft & only one is provided. Vacuuming of the room floor can be done better. A black coloured cotton tip was left on the floor below the desk from previous occupant. It is still there when I left.
The location was great, just a few minutes' walk from Hakata station but yet, the neighbourhood is quiet. Staffs are friendly.
