Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

CanadaNo room darkening curtains; carpets were beyond dirty; lacked washers and dryers - hotel only has two combined; mobility could be tough for some as you need to step up into bathroom. Glass door on bathroom. Only 1 pillow!
Loved the location close to shops, restaurants; buses and trains; had umbrellas for loan; the people at reception were so friendly and helpful. Air conditioning worked great in the room; room was quiet! Beds were super comfy!

SwitzerlandQuite noisy in the evening due to pimped cars gathering in Kawaramachi street and speeding up in order to annoy all people with the noise for the fun of few jerks. I was surprised that the police never came to stop that The room is tiny with very limited space for luggage, nor any space to hang clothes, just one jacket. It gets very hot when the sun shines on the window

United KingdomWould have been nice to be able to cast our phones to the TV so we could watch our own shows. The bed only had 1 tiny pillow per person, additional pillows would've been much better (or atleast as an option). More access to milk would be good. Powdered milk isn't great! We were there for a 4 night stay and rooms in Japan get cleaned on the 3rd day, it would've been nice for this to be changed so we were cleaned halfway through our stay inside.
Lovely room, our most spacious out of the 3 hotels we used. Wonderful location, 5 mins from Pontocho road and Nishika market. Lots of shops nearby too. Also right next to a lovely river. A bit far from Kyoto station but worth it as there's less sights to see more central. <30 mins from Kyomizu-dera and Fushimi-inari too. Comfortable bed, the shower room is super efficient on space. It's nice to have a mirror that's warm so you can use it in a steamy bathroom. Nice to have kettle and hairdryer in room. The pyjamas were also nice, super comfortable. Great Aircon and able to open windows for fresh air.

Hong Kong1/ Restaurant for buffet breakfast is too small and food quality is poor. A simple breakfast would be better. 2/ There are only 2 short clothes hanger bars mounted loosely on a wooden panel. They are not strong enough to hold winter clothes. They did come off during our 5-night stay and were fixed by housekeeping.
