Qoonel was an absolute treat of a stay during our trip to Japan. Beautifully located on the hill amongst trees, it was a very peaceful location. We arrived in the middle of a storm and the staff were extremely lovely, accommodating, and generous. The room we stayed in was very comfortable and warm, and we woke up to the most beautiful view of Mt Fuji. The barbecue and kitchen facilities were also fabulous. Easily the coolest place we’ve stayed. Great coffee too! We will be recommending this to all of our friends/family.

Easily one of the most beautiful and unique stays we have ever had in our travels! The view of Mount Fuj, smaller hills and the lakes, is amazing beyond belief. We saw the most amazing sunset we have ever seen. The staff is very helpful and friendly as well. The BBQ DIY meal was easy to make and tasty. The room was also very comfortable and unique.

If only they provide sandals for us to walk around in. During our stay, there was only sandals in toilet and bathroom. So we had to walk around the kitchen and fireplace in socks as it was still quite chilly

This property is unreal! They are all private huts with the cosiest bedrooms & kitchen/living areas. The bbq is brilliant and all wood is provided for fires. The bedrooms are so warm too!

the water in the shower room will alternate between cold and hot even though you set it to hot. So caution is needed when showering, but it is understandable due to the terrain of where the campground is located at.

The staff is very nice and understanding. They are able to converse in English if needed and give recommendations to what to explore nearby. There is also a have a transport service for check-in and check-out. The scenery at the camping ground is excellent to enjoy over the campfire while admiring Mount Fuji. Definitely a good place to go.

I cannot rate this place highly enough! The views, the uniqueness, the tranquility, the self-catering kitchenette, the extremely friendly and helpful staff, the on-site coffee/pizza van… just everything was FANTASTIC! We’ll definitely be back!!

Unfortunately Mt Fuji only decided to show its summit due to the cloudy weather but by no means did this spoil our trip. You can never predict the weather.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The staff were friendly, the bbq and breakfast amazingly prepared with instructions, the property was clean with an en-suite Japanese style bathroom with mini heater, there were plenty of ways to get warm on a cold spring night with a personal bonfire, gas heater and electric heater. The rooms were really comfortable with lights, electricity, comfy mattresses and pillows. Everything has been thought out very well. It really was the highlight of our trip.

Costly however worth it for the view and peacefulness. Would recommend taking your own alcohol as no shops near by and expensive when purchasing on site

Amazing location overlooking mt Fuji and Lake Kawaguchiko. We didn’t want to leave! So peaceful. Self contained unit with bbq, well equipped kitchen, cool boxes, comfy furniture, fire pits with wood provided. Great location for star grazing in the evening and we got up for sunrise which was lovely. Staff kindly run a pick up /drop off to and from Kawaguchiko station at certain times. We went for the bbq option that Qoonel offer - was delicious and fun to make.

The quiet location, the barbecue, fireplace and view on Mount Fuji, very magical. We even saw monkeys passing the campsite. The owners are very nice and helpful, giving us a ride down the hill.
