We liked the entire space! The room had a wonderful view of Mt. Fuji, was cozy and our host made sure we were extra comfortable. He even went ABOVE AND BEYOND in helping us with an emergency situation with our toddler. We're incredibly grateful for your help and for both picking up and dropping us off. If we had more time, we would have loved to ride the bikes around the lake/neighborhood. Speaking of the neighborhood, it was quite peaceful. A very tranquil location to stay.

The location is a little bit far to public bus station and we had carried luggage and walked in the rain for around 20 mins.

The owner is really nice and he offered a free ride to send us to the bus station. The room is clean and comfortable, and we borrowed the bikes to cycle around the lake kawaguchi. Unfortunately, we did not get the chance to see Mt. Fuji due to rainy and cloudy even though the balcony was a good place to enjoy the view.

Very cosy and authentic place! The host is warm and helpful. The area is perfect for outdoor activities as well as calm time. We came to escape the hustle of Tokyo and had total recharge. You can explore Forest Music Museum, go hiking or ride bike around the lake. Highly recommended! P.S. the best part was waking up with Mt.Fuji view :)

If you travel with big suitace it might a little difficult to move upstairs since it's very narrow. (I personally only brought a backpack so it was no problem for me)

The owner is very friendly but also gave the guest a lot of privacy, which I really appreciated. He also offered my free bicycle to ride around the lake. The next morning he was so kind to offer me a ride to the station. Tatami is ususally not my thing, but that night I slept quite okay.

Location is slightly away from those attraction and less public transport to reach. Took me almost half an hour to walk from nearest bus stop.

The view from the room was fabulous, got balcony as well. Old Japanese style house, only stairs no lift. Owner is very nice and kind, he borrowed me bike for free to wonder around the town and also offer drive me to bus station when check out

We had a fantastic stay! We were 3 adults and 1 toddler and had the whole upstairs to ourselves. There are two bedrooms upstairs, both of generous size, a shower and laundry room and a toilet. There were great amenities: washing machine, microwave, electric warmer kettle, flask etc. The bedding was super comfortable and cozy during our December stay which got cold during the night but we felt toasty in bed. Great reverse cycle air-conditioning which helped warm up the room as well. The shower water pressure was amazing. The host was super lovely as well. Him and his wife kept to themselves most of the time, and also lived downstairs, but were always one knock away if you needed any support or help. We loved our stay and highly recommend this place!

The location is a bit inconvenient to get to if you're using the public transportation. It's not located on the tourist bus route but there are a bus stop nearby (don't know which route). Other reviews mentioned that the host can pick up from the train station but we didn't get the offer. However, he did drove us to the station after we checked out.

Very, very friendly host with good English communication. The host provided free bicycle and drove us back to the train station. He also gave recommendations on where to visit; we didn't know there was a festival nearby in which we really glad to visit. Futon is really comfy and the room insulates well. We get to feel staying in a real Japanese home which is an experience not many place able to get.

Everything was amazing. The owner received us on the bus stop, prepare everything for our stay and landed us bycicles to go around. The place has an amazing view of Mount Fuji and we had an amazing Japanese experience. I wish I stayed a little more time there

Strong audibility. The owners live on the first floor. In rooms are tatami: nothing can be spilled, crumbled, etc. Main reason for our choise of the house was bath on a balcony. The balcony with bath was closed, bath was covered (not prepared). The service even not mentioned / proposed.

Cool / interesting experience! Very friendly owner. Ancient Japanese authentic house, layout, everything. Excellent balconies overlooking Fuji-san. Comfortable mattresses, blankets, pillows. There is everything you need: shower, washbasin, toilet, washing machine, kettle, lots of chairs, tables, refrigerator, etc. Interesting fact: Everything in the house is signed and explained in English. How to turn it on, turn it off, configure it. air conditioner. How to switch the TV to watch a webcam on the mountain. etc. There are separate slippers everywhere: basic slippers for the corridor, slippers for the toilet, slippers for the balcony. You can't wear slippers in the rooms!

The host looked after us really well. He was so friendly and helpful. He helped us book a bus to the train station we needed to go to and drove us to the cafe at the station in the morning. The house is a nice traditinoal style and property is a historical site that is directly across from Kawaguchi Asama Jinja Shrine. This made the trip worthwhile even though it was raining and we didn't see Mt Fuji.

The host was very warm and welcoming. He picked us up by car from the station. The house is very charming, quiet and offers beautiful views of Mount Fuji. The host lent us bicycles so we could explore the area and walk around the lake. It was a very pleasant stay!

The location is on the north end of the Kawaguchiko lake and within 5-10 minutes bike ride to the lake to see the Mt. Fuji. You can also see the Mt. Fuji from the room. The view is priceless. The host is genuinely kind, generous, and caring. He picked me up and took me back to the train station. When he knew I wanted to hike Mt. Fuji, he offered to take me to the station, printed out the temperature on the mountain and gave me a bottle of oxygen. He went far and beyond as a host. I stayed 2 nights very comfortably. I will definitely stay there again.
