The traditional style curtains don't block much light.

Lovely breakfast with great coffee and juice machines, pastries, scrambled eggs, corn flakes, yoghurt and a few other extras. Free arrival drink, free washing machine usage! The tatami mats in the room are a nice touch too.

room a bit small, had to close the bathroom door in order to open the room door to get out if i want to wash my hands from returning back to hotel, I'll have to open the bathroom door with my "dirty" hands

Our room was next to the elevator, we could (too) easily hear when someone arrived late at night. The room also is about as small as it gets.

Easy to find with a good location. Close to Gion street and Kiyomizudera. The staff are friendly and speak English. Continental breakfast with limited choices. They keep your luggage after check out and you can also borrow umbrellas for rainy days.

Great location, close to Kyoto station, the river, many restaurants and an easy walk into Gion. The bed was small but comfortable and the room was very clean. Breakfast was good, staff were friendly and we were able to leave our bags after check out.

When I was here last, breakfast used to be japanese traditional style breakfast (2019) now it is contentinetal. Whilst the breakfast is good as it is. The old breakfast used to be far superior.

I have stayed at this hotel on three occasions and everytime it meets the standards I have come to expect. The staff are always making the best effort to serve and make sure that everything is correct. It is very good value for money and is conveniently located near convenience shops and a very good ramen restaurant nearby.

We arrived late in the evening after a very long day. Although we booked a room for three, there were only two beds fitted with sheets and blankets. The breakfast is very basic and practically the same each morning. Once we asked the reception to help us with Japanese to make a reservation for a restaurant, but they refused.

I have a spider on my bed or anywhere in my room. I do not care at all because it is kind of happy and wealth bringer as my mother says. However, it is still a bit wired. I keep it alive until I left.

Perfect location; lots of facilities more than other 3 stars hotel, such as shoes dryer, handy maps, free welcome drinks, bath sponge, hair brush rather than simple comb. Very comfortable small sofa besides tatami cushion.

The location was fantastic, 10min walk to heart of Kyoto with the train station and bus at your doorstep. Extremely clean, large room. We had two double beds and they were accomodating for a third double bed, bathrooms are very large and new-like.

wifi connection was really weak and unreliable which was difficult since we had limited data as tourists! this made it inconvenient to plan our day and relax at night

rooms were clean, free drinks and breakfast were good and nice for relaxing. the staff was really nice and accomodating. laundry machines were free to use and detergent only cost 50 yen

A very comfortable and lovely hotel equipped with modernized furniture. The room gives authentic Japanese vibe and filled with nice toiletries. Location is very great, easily accessible to bus stop and train stations. The famous gion corner is in walking distance from the hotel. I wish I could spend there more than 2 nights. 10/10 ⭐️.

This was not a comfortable hotel room at all. There was not even a chair to sit on or put your stuff on. Just a closet with no shelves.

Would only recommend it for its location. Breakfast was ok for an "included" breakfast: coffee, bread and jam.
