Great location. Super friendly staff. Facilities with laundry and microwave. Free drinks was a wonderful bonus. Rooms are small, japanese style, but very comfortable and you have space to storage everything. We had 2 big and 2 small pieces of luggage and there was space to move. Breakfast was super simple, but enough to fill you in.

The room is very small and because of the tatami mats there is almost no space to open a suitcase. Annoying if you stay for a short time and don’t want to unpack everything, as you have to pack up your suitcase any time you want to go out or use the bathroom. Even though I had a no-view room (window facing the wall of the building next door), it was not really dark inside the room at night because of light from lamps in the street. Not recommended for tall people, as the bed is quite short and if you’re close to 2m you’ll probably hit your head on the ceiling in the shower. Breakfast was very basic, American style. Free, but not much choice. If you stay multiple nights, you probably won’t want to eat breakfast here every day.

Good location, close to subway and with many restaurants and supermarkets in the street. Nice bathtub and shower too. Bed was small but comfortable. Overall a decent place to stay.

The free breakfast was an added bonus. This is also the first hotel i’ve ever stayed in with a free laundry, which is great if you’ve been travelling long term like me! The staff are friendly, and hotel is in a super easy location, right near train.

Breakfast was meager, without any real choice. The room was nice but crammed, I had a large backpack and I couldn't find a place to put it

The position was great to sightsee all over town. The staff was very helpful in giving me information to reach where I needed to go. They also kept my luggage both before check in and after check out. Very comfortable bed!

There was a 200 per day tax charge at the hotel. But I think it is the same everywhere in Kyoto. Plus, room cleaning service is only done once every three days.

I liked the room. It felt very traditional with a modern feel to it.

Unfortunately, the train station right downstairs was not so convenient with big luggages to get to the Kansai airport. Good news is that the hotel can arrange reliable luggage delivery to Kyoto station which was a lifesaver for a solo traveller with big luggages!

Everything (check in/out, luggage delivery service) was smooth. Room was clean and beds were very comfortable. Walkable to many places. The breakfast was also a nice touch! Even though the window didn’t have a view (faced the walls), the hotel does an excellent job with lighting so the room was quite cosy. It was a bit inconvenient that the luggages cannot be on the tatami mats, but completely understandable since the hotels are generally not that spacious in downtown areas.

Hotel is really good located to travel around Kyoto and visit the most important places! Hotel borrow you a Japanase pyjama, what is pretty cool.

The only thing I didn’t like was the breakfast, being in Japan, I expect the breakfast being Japanese style. But it was just sausage, bread and pasta. And it’s small. For its price I guess it’s ok, but would like something Japanese.

The location is really good, it’s walking distance to most of the famous tourist spots. The hotel itself is also good for its price. Simple and great

The rooms are very small. Hardly any space for our 3luggages. 2people max per room if you want to be comfortable with space.

The beds were really comfy. There were thick mattresses laid directly on the tatami but they were super comfy. The location is perfect just outside the busy old town. It's a great location for sightseeing. Breakfast was correct, nothing special but it was included. I love that every hotel in Japan, has all you need in your cosy little room. Shower gels and shampoo are always good quality, not cheap stuff.

It’s a little dusty, my friend got allergies because of it. Not very clean and the room is quite small. You can’t keep a 28’ luggage to be opened all the time, need to close it and open it everyday.

Excellent location, very near to Keihan Station and convenience store. Walkable distance to famous attractions such as Kiyomizu Dera and Gionmachi. The breakfast is quite nice since it is included.

There is no parking (be prepared to pay about ¥3000 p/n), no help to acquire it either, they gave us a map indicating where paid parking is upon request. We found out when we arrived that there is accommodation tax, needs to be paid during check in.. Budget for that when you go to Kyoto, I didn’t know about it until I had to check in. Their site says daily housekeeping, however, we found out during check in that they only do housekeeping every 3 days of one’s stay , but they change towels daily.

The property is literally by the train station and there’s a bus stop right outside. It has 24hr reception & laundry services (there’s a detergent fee). It is within walking distance to most things.
