It's a bit further out from some metro and the main tourist areas, but we were aware of this before booking.

Really big space, homely feel, and lovely views over the Sumida river. Staff were friendly and helpful, and the free snacks in the room were a nice surprise.

There wasn't anything that we didn't like.

Very spacious apartment style hotel rooms. Friendly and accommodating staff. Good amenities in the room. Great hotel for groups, and longer stays.

Location is slightly more remote and requires a 10-min walk to the nearest subway / TCAT bus terminal. Please note if you have lots of heavy luggages or travelling with elderly people. We ended up taking a taxi to most places. Room could do with more mirrors - only one in the entry hallway and one in the bathroom. A/C controls were hard to navigate given it is all in Japanese, and struggled to get an optimum temperature after playing with all options.

2-bedroom apartment for my family and it was our most comfortable stay on our Japan trip. Spacious and very comfortable with all the necessary modern amenities. Could not fault it and will definitely stay again. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful - from booking taxis to restaurant recommendations.

The bed was a bit harder than I would have liked.

The room was large compared to other rooms we stayed in while in Japan. Our four night stay was comfortable. Each staff member was able to communicate in English without too much difficulty. We would definitely book here again.

Would be good if they have a storage for luggage to keep for few days, but it is not important and it wont affect how fantastic this property.

We booked 2 units for 5 nights on this property. ( 2 family / 8 people) Each unit has big space and surely can fit 6 people each unit if they will allow it. Super clean. Free snacks and bottle of Prosecco! You can cook comfortably. Photos on booking.com site won’t describe how spacious and nice this apartment. We wanted to book 6 more nights and unfortunately they are fully booked for 2 apartments .

The wooden sofa legs is very sharp and badly design, be careful when you walk around the sofa. Both my wife and I kick the leg of the sofa and have bruise around our angles

The balcony is technically there, but it’s very tiny so you can’t really use it. For the price of the room, one should be allowed to smoke on it.

The apartment looks even better in real life. The view is exceptional and we got everything we needed. Even though it is 10-15 min walk to the metro, you have all the lines (E,T, Z, H) you need to move around. The space is perfect if you need a mit more space in a calmer neighborhood.

It was little away from the station. The walk was around 15min to any station close by. But we were ok about it.

The size of the room was splendid as per Japan’s standard. We had lots of place for our luggage. The river view from the room was great . It is worth if you are coming with young kids.

If you want to walk downstairs and be at a train station this is not the hotel for you but we enjoyed the walks to and from and hiking the city which despite being the largest on the planet by population is mesmerizingly quiet, clean and polite. We happened to be there during some high winds and being on the river the units windows vibrated loudly, they were gusting to 60 MPH so we were mostly just happy to be inside.

Hotel Ulu is really just an apartment with an awesome Japanese style bath, highly functional kitchen and a beautiful view of the river. It was about a half mile to the train station with some up and down over the river so if you intend to use the trains be ok with that. The staff all spoke English well and were very helpful. The attention to details in the space as well as the in unit laundry were excellent.

Tokyo was quite busy for spring break and we had to expand our search a bit farther out than what is often recommended. We were pleasantly surprised with Ulu Tokyo. Very friendly staff, modern large room with kitchenette and just a short walk to trains. The staff helped with all of our first-timer questions and arranged a taxi to Tokyo Station for our next leg of the adventure. It was a great location to visit the east side of Tokyo - Akihabara, Sky Tree, and more.

train station was a 15 minute walk away. Definitely not the most convenient especially when it is cold or raining.
