2nd floor has to bear the walk steps from 3rd floor but still acceptable. Japanese beachhomes are like that I guess

Noise: For our 2d stay at the Villa we chose 2d floor apt again for 3 nights. Unfortunately Apt on 3rd floor had a noisy party 1 night and stomping noisy babies another night. The very nice owner is aware of the need to better screen 3rd floor renters in future.

This is such a beautiful apt in great location near the ocean and near Hase station and many shops. The apt is very clean and well laid out with kitchenette and dining table and furo (deep) bathtub. Very comfortable .. if the noise from 3rd floor is controlled.

Only thing I wish the place had was beach towels since it's right by the beach. We're traveling from the USA so we didn't have beach towels on us.

Super easy check-in. The host was quick to respond and when we left jewelry at the place, he overnighted it to our next hotel which was SO nice. It's one block from the beach. Such a great stay.

- because the location was great for the beach, it was also quite loud die to the traffic along the beach road.

- the location near the beach and train station - the extra info provided by the host such as hiking trails and places of interest - the beautiful touches in the accommodation such as relaxing music playing on arrival, backpacks with thermos and insect repellant etc to borrow, beautiful shower products, air purifier, pretty umbrellas to borrow for rainy weather!

The apartment is small but well furnished and clean. It's perfect for two people. We also managed to fit a small cot bed for our kid. The check-in / out is all done remotely, it worked perfectly and the owner gave us a lot of precise instructions. Location is absolutely perfect, three steps from the beach.

Comfortable, up to date, clean & neat, 2d floor apt, roomy enough, small kitchenette, washer/dryer in the apt, all the amenities you could imagine, very close to Kamakura Bay, eateries and bakeries and shops and train station nearby, a very pleasant place to stay for a night or a week or a month

Strict on check-in and check-out times which makes the stay a little short if only for one day, but this was not something to take away from the otherwise very nice stay.

Great location just steps from the beach and very close to the big temples in the area. Bed was super comforting and the apartment was full of little touches and luxuries that made a nice experience.

Extremely clean, well equipped, and comfortable. Loved the ocean view from the third floor unit. Great location close to Hase Station. Easy walk to the Great Buddha with a cute shopping street on the way. Wish we could have stayed longer!

Everything was great. perfect for two. Great location, great views and do many thoughtful amenities. Portable WiFi was great, so was the toaster oven, music speaker, tv channel choices.

Room is small- perfect for solo travel, but if you travel with a child, then after you open the air mattress there is hardly room to open your suitcase. Not a big deal though, just go out and enjoy Kamakura!

Very clean and well-appointed room, the surroundings are fantastic and the artisanal candy shop on the corner is amazing! Convenience store is a 1-minute walk, and the beach on the doorstep.

Like the other reviews said, the walls are indeed thin. Downstairs clubhouse had music on from 7 in the morning and I’m usually a heavy sleeper but it was noticeable enough to be woken up. You can also hear upstairs people’s every footsteps too (maybe they just had heavy footing..) but despite all these, I’d still absolutely stay here again. The pros outweigh way way more than the cons for sure!!

LOVED how this place was only 30seconds walk away from the beach! There is a convenience store nearby and cute hidden cafes on the right next street too. Check-in/out process was super smooth and the host is super kind and helpful with quick response too. The place provides everything you’ll ever need and beyond - so thoughtful they’d have sunscreen and beach towel, which came in super helpful when headed out to the beach. Their bathroom was so well organized and cozy! I was so sad to be leaving the place on my last day, I’m definitely coming back soon!!

The owner wasn't kidding when they said that you can hear everything in the other units. The walls are very thin and you can hear every little noise from the other units in the building. Also wish there were parking spots for the units.

Only complaint is location of toilet paper roll to toilet. Had to twist backwards to reach. May be difficult for older guests.

The welcome email made everything so smooth and easy. Bed was very comfortable. Greatly appreciated the host reaching out with offers and made us feel welcome. Very cozy apartment with everything we needed and more.

It was small - with a double bed in the main area, dining table and chairs. Advertised as an apartment but should be advertised as a one room studio. The bath/shower was very deep and difficult to get in and out of. Noise from people in upstairs apartment was heard a lot.

The location was brilliant. Close to restaurants, beach, shops and Hase station. It was clean and had lots of helpful accessories like power adaptors and cords. Washing machine with detergent was a bonus. Communication with the host was great. View of ocean from front window.
