    Nothing to report.

Retro style. 40s and 50s jazz. Complimentary drinks and snacks. Well located. Not far from river walks. Friendly and helpful staff. Great shower. Very charming.

The bed was a bit too firm and the pillows were either too hard or too soft. Need some medium firm pillows.

The hotel is exceptional, from the history of the building through all of the little accent details in the design. The service was impeccable, the staff helped us with everything we needed and more. Free drinks included with the room and a secret whiskey bar upstairs for you to make your own cocktails in anytime. It was truly a great hotel. Would definitely stay there again anytime.

There is nothing I can fault the hotel for

Incredible hotel - the best I've ever been to in Kyoto. The history of Nintendo is beautifully displayed and the rooms are both beautiful and comfortable. This is from now on my to-go hotel in Kyoto.

    Everything was exceptional!

The hotel is just great! Start with the team-kind, helping, English fluency speaking! The hotel is a boutique hotel with 15 rooms only. The rooms are quite large and the tubs are fantastic, highly recommend! Don’t forget to visit the lounge with the self made drinks, or lobby with all day long free drinks and snacks.

Right from arrival it was 5-star service! Riku picked up on me being a fan of Nintendo and showed me around the building and what furniture and installations are still from the original Nintendo Headquarter this hotel once was. I stayed in the Japanese Suit which was brilliant. The best part to me was the open air bath which I enjoyed for multiple hours. A hot bath in crisp February air. Also the hotel being all inclusive with a nicely stocked mini bar helped to relax and enjoy the evening.

Interior was well renovated to blend the modern lighting into an historical building. Love the lounge service where we can have a drink and chill. The Library area is a gem of this hotel where you can find a lot of Nintendo history and the past game consoles at display.

By comparing with other Kyoto hotels, I hope they can invest more efforts into the room cleaning, my room was not very clean as there was some hair on the floor and bathroom. And left over dishes and tea pot from previous guests. They helped me to clean the room again, it’s just the first expression not that perfect.

love the food selection from their mini bar. Absolutely high quality and tasty especially their caramel pudding! Loved it Staff very friendly and professional!

The hotel had a warm, nostalgic atmosphere and the interior was beautifully designed. The staff were very friendly, welcoming and helpful. Our room was beautiful - from the relaxing living area looking out to one of the most famous temples, to the extremely comfortable bed and the practical layout of the room. The library and bar were really lovely - the perfect space to relax with a drink at the end of the day. We would definitely want to go back and stay at the hotel again

Loved the history of the building, the mellow jazz music in the lobbies, the open bar and other facilities, the library, etc. Western-inspired breakfast was interesting. Nintendo-branding was quite low-key; you won't see Mario plastered all over the walls, but you will see lots of Hanafuda cards and other hints to the past. Old Kyoto architecture. Not the kind of place you throw your bags on the bed and leave; spend some time here and relax.

My partner did not like the breakfast, they noticed and asked what they can change on 2nd day; concierge should know Vegetarian restaurants nearby, we found some in walking distance

Upgrade to spacious Japanese suite, comfy bed and pajamas, design slippers, free drinks and Udon at the lounge, attentive concierge and staff at the breakfast restaurant; the library with Nintendo books, mix of original vintage furniture from this location and contemporary architecture

A little bit far from Kyoto station. I’ll suggest to others to take taxi rather than walk when you have more than 2 suitcase or have family trip.

All staff are friendly and nice, they can speak multiple language, which is really good for foreign people like me. I would like to stay here again in my future visit to Kyoto, and I would like to stay 2 nights next time.
