Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

United KingdomIt was good to have a balcony - but without outdoor seating, we couldn't use it. It was hard to find out information about the restaurant.
This hotel has recently been updated, so earlier reviews that refer to dorm rooms are no longer relevant. It is a now a lovely place to stay, with smart public spaces, sleek, comfortable, spacious bedrooms, a pleasant breakfast room and a good onsen. We liked it very much indeed.

While the room size was just 15 m², it was a great use of space. It did not feel small at all. It's feels very new and modern. Use of bright colours lifted the mood as it rained both days that I was there. I also appreciated the recommendations on nearby restaurants. Tried two of them and really liked the food and service. Location was great too - away from the crowds. Near the train station and most importantly, near the beach.

AustraliaI wish they had some bikes for guests. As our phone wouldnt recieve a text to prove who we were, the local bikes that are parked everywhere were no good. So we had to go into Kamakura to get them which isnt a problem but you have to have them back at 5 which really stuffs up the reason you are there, to enjoy the coast. It would have been nice to jump on one in the morning and head somewhere for coffee etc.
So close to the beach and train. A nice spot close to the main areas.

Location is perfect for the beach and the town is small, so walking to the attractions is quite easy.

JapanThe walls were very thin in my single room and I could hear the person next door speaking on their phone (and I could hear someone snoring too). The aircon remote was all in Japanese so an English translation in the room information package would have been helpful.
The staff were great and very helpful. The onsen was clean and quiet. The access to yoga was fantastic and the reduced rate offered to guests was much appreciated. The breakfast was excellent but it would have been nice to be able to request a vegetarian breakfast in advance so that the restaurant is prepared.

It is a great hotel with excellent and accommodating staff. Any questions we asked were answered. The breakfast was also good. Unfortunately, we stayed only one night. We will do more next time. We will definitely come back.
