This is not a big issue but the long name of the accommodation being in Japanese characters leaves a bit to be desired, for non-Japanese speaking guests.

Ground floor room was very cold.

In a good location. During cold, ground floor room was very cold. After entering the room it was very cold. It took 1-2 hours to get to comfortable temperature 🌡️ Room was clean. No one was there to receive but instructions were clear. Convenient store is near, some restaurants are available for food during evening. We enjoyed.

The mattress was uncomfortable and pillows very thin. Apartment was a bit cold and took a while to warm up, though we did visit in December. Would have been good to have somewhere to dry clothes after washing them

The location of the property couldn’t have been more perfect. Right next to the lake and you only have to walk 2 mins to get views of Mount Fuji on a clear day. The accommodation has pretty much everything you might need including a fridge, washing machine, kitchenette and hair dryer. We really enjoyed our stay

The air conditioner was too weak to warm the room in November, even though we adjusted it to 30oC.

It is a great place to see and approach Lake Ashi and Hakone Jinja. Lawson nearby there is convenient to buy food and stuff. A good room with full facilities (especially the washing machine is a plus point), and personal hygiene items were provided.

The bed is a bit hard, but it is still okay. There is a small kitchen, but there is no basic stuff like oil, salt, soy sauce, etc. Since it is difficult to get hot food in the early morning and after five pm, we want to cook something. But since I need to buy one bottle of each above basic stuff and only use them for one day, it is not environmentally friendly. There is not even provide tea bags and coffee, so don't have a feeling of home stay B&B.

The location is good, very close to the main town area, and easy to find. The room is clean and tidy.

I booked for three but there was not bedding provided for a third person and a potential cupboard that might have contained it was locked.

Really great location! Some lovely restaurants and cafes nearby as well as walking distance from some major points of interest. Everything was clean and there were cooking facilities.

There are no hanging area in the toilet... There was no toilet floor towel, making it slippery. Good for short stays

They have groundfloor unit. Makes it accessible for individuals who cannot carry their heavy luggages up the stairs. However, pls note that it is not fully wheelchair friendly. There is a ledge. Carpark is right infront, there are 4 carparks. Easy to access keys. Heater works well, hotwater has good pressure. Towels, toothpaste and toothbrushes provided. Fridge, small kitchenette present. Lawson within 1min walking distance.

I too suggested that they change the name here as it does have a western one - but they haven't so this alongside not responding to my messages makes me feel like perhaps they're not interested in being inclusive. There is no welcome pack to translate the buttons on the appliances for example. Like the air con gives out hot air. But I found that out in reviews. They did give me code to locked cupboard which just has one blanket in. Why lock? Lovely and cosy once heat on. The main problem was the bed. We've stayed everywhere from couch surfing to 36 hotels on our adventure and this bed was the worst! By far! It's a brick. And worse still covered in horizontal single sheets that stay on 5 seconds. My son was supposed to have a futon but got basically a duvet on the floor. Yes we could argue that this is a Japanese futon but there was no ribing in it to give it form and it was so thin. We had seen it before in the traditional hotel with ratten reed floor... But even with these special mats not the concrete floor in this hotel we were given two or three each to sleep on. Not one on concrete. It wasn't just middle aged me that suffered me and 10 year old on bed didn't sleep and woke up in pain and of course my son too. The pillows too were substandard. Thinner than most seen in Japan. I would love to say stay here. It does so much right. But cutting the corners with the mattresses and sheets really kills it and there's no way I'd book again I'm afraid.

The host was really communicative and helpful at first so I reached out to them with feedback so I wouldn't have to leave a negative review. But unfortunately they didn't respond so I feel I have to be honest to help others. The place was cute, nicer than the picture with plants and little stools.. a real home from home. Cosy and warm once heat on. Absolutely fabulous location for sightseeing part of our tour after staying on other side with springs.

The bed is extremely uncomfortable. The mattress springs were poking me and woke sore all over. I don't recommend staying here until that is fixed. Some shelves and hooks in the bathroom and in the room would be great as well.

- absolutely ideal location, in the very heart of Motohakone town, everything is closeby, including the shrine - considering the size and everything that was provided (little kitchen, fridge, cooking utensils), the price was great - everything was clean on arrival, very smooth self check-in process - internet was off for a moment, but the staff took action almost immeditely after my message, that is highly appreciated - even though I expected to hear the neigbours above and next to me, the walls were pretty sound-isolating, which is great
