Very thin walls, possible to hear other guests at night (possible the guests were simply loud when coming back to rooms). There was a Lamp in the room that was not possible to switch off.

The hotel is opposite to train station, restaurants on the same street. The room was bigger than other rooms in Japan.

Proximity to the station, comfortable rooms with a tub to soak after a long day around Hakone. On the same street as many delicious restaurants. Definitely recommend. Staff were nice.

My refrigerator was pretty much useless. I turned the power up but still zero coldness. That was frustrating as I need my cold drinks.

I liked the friendliness of the staff, the fact that I had a chair, tray table, and clothes rest to use at my disposal. I also liked that I had a view. I of course have my much needed TV and Hot water maker. But I wish they provided some tea.

Close to train station. A bit noisy at night. But I feel ok. Pillow was kinda too hard. Toilet was a bit too small for tall persons. But overall high value for this hotel under this fair price.

The unit bathroom was probably the smallest I've ever been in while living in Japan for the past 20 years. I couldn't sit comfortably on the toilet. I couldn't dry myself after the shower because the curtain kept touching my back.

Everything is relative to the cost of the room - and I thought it was spacious. We had 3 beds and although there weren't much space for anything else, we didn't need anything else. The location was also very good, right next to the station and restaurants.

The bed is hard and things are a bit outdated but good enough for once night stay. Wouldn't call it 100% comfortable for more than a couple nights stay.

The 1st night I was so uncomfortable with the stuffiness in my room. I turned on the air conditioner but weirdly the heater kicked on too. It was like a sauna. I opened the window for some relief. It was a terrible night of no sleep. When I mentioned this to the reception staff, he said the heat temperature was centralized. I appreciated he took care of the matter we discussed by lowering the temperature of the room. The hotel was dark and my room was across from the smoking area.

The hotel was close to the train station and many resturants. The staff was professional. Useful amenities were provided including hot/cold beverages.

The walls are thin so you can hear noise from the hallway or other rooms. No other negative aspects.

The hotel is located closed to the station and it is easy to get around the town from the area. The room was spacious compared to most Japanese hotels.

Excellent location 3 minutes from the Odawara train station on a quiet street. Small room on par with other hotels. The reception staff do not speak much English but are very polite. We left our luggage in the morning to then do the Hakone loop. When we were back the luggage had been taken to our room. Complimentary tea and coffee on our 2nd floor. Lots of nice places to eat on the street.

Very handy to Station. Only about 3 minutes away. Nice large room for Japan. Staff very helpful, even held our luggage for us so we could spend day on Hakone. Also not far from town centre for eateries.

Although we were in a non-smoking room, our door was immediately opposite the door to the smoking area for the whole hotel so wafts of cigarette smoke did occasionally come through into our room. This may have been in part because the air conditioning unit had been replaced in our room but the holes for the old one (located above the room door) had only been covered with what appeared to be cardboard and tape painted white. There was three in our family group and although the room was large by average Japanese standards it was cramped for us (not a criticism, just an observation).

The hotel was close to the station and to a busy restaurant area. We were staying only one night so it was a convenient, reasonably comfortable place to stay. We used it as a base to explore Hakone using a rental car. The reception staff were helpful and friendly and supplied us with extra towels and pillows.

Hard to communicate as staff did not spoke much English. We drove in so we needed to park the car overnight and were told and given a pretty basic map to a nearby parking location which we never found but there was plenty of other coin parking places nearby.

Perfect location (right across from train station). Clean and simple.
