The reception did not operate 24 hours. The door was locked after 12am till morning, but there was nobody at the reception, and the staff was totally uncontactable - no telephone or bell - unable to seek for help after 12am.

The room was cozy and very spacious. Indoor & outdoor onsen. Water dispenser near to the elevator. Walking distance from train station. There was a ramen restaurant next to the lobby.

The hotel is a little far away from popular tourist areas. Advisable for those with car. Plenty of car parks available. Room is big and comfy. Condition is not new but clean. Onsen is big and not many people using it. Near to Aeon department store.

If you're a solo traveller, this probably won't be an issue, but otherwise, the hotel is situated quite far from the station (probably a 5-10 minutes walk away) so when arriving, you have to push your luggage pretty and I often felt how long more would it be. The hair dryer also felt a bit weak but usable.

Even though the Hotel feels kinda dated when you first step into it, the hotel room is very big in size and feels really spacious. When checking in, the staff was really friendly as well and they proceeded to guide me through the check in process. I also have to pay for the onsen fee (it's considered an onsen town after all) which I didn't mind. The view from the hotel room is awesome as well. When checking out, I was given a candy and a farewell postcard as well with the photo of the hotel! Overall a very pleasant stay at the hotel.

Would have been nice to have breakfast facilities and a bar for a relaxing drink.

Loved the large room with great view of the volcanoes. The staff were lovely good to be away from the bustle of downtown but to be in walking distance.

The sound proofing was bad. I could hear someone’s alarm at 6am from next door, doors closing, things rolling from upstairs. The two nights I stayed it rained and the rain hitting the windowsill eaves kept me up at night even though I had ear plugs on. The fridge also kept making some noise. The pillow was also too high for me.

The view from the room was beautiful. It was a spacious room too. The onsen was comfortable too there was an indoor and outdoor bath as well as a cold pool.

Yufuin is a beautiful and peaceful town. The downside of this place is the lack of places for dinner. You must make prior reservation and majority of them closed very early. My family and I went on earky March and the weather was super cold. Do pack enough warm clothing if you do not want to freeze to toes.

The heater is very noisy and there’s a high frequency noise probably from the flow of the heater. Can’t sleep well.

The indoor and outdoor door onsens are awesome and clean. Front desk very nice. Reasonable distance from station. The room is spacious and clean.

After covid, the hotel has zero meal options. You can bring your own takeaway or buy frozen meals from vending machines or purchase cup noodles from the front desk. A microwave oven is provided at the lift landing of every floor.

The staff was polite and helpful especially with Ella, a Filipino at the front office. She speaks English which made check in easy. The huge public indoor onsen pool and the open-air pool adjoining it. Splendid view of Mt Yufu from the room, onsen pool and lobby.

No breakfast/shuttle bus Strange checkout rule of only keeping luggage until 2pm. Only knew about this upon check-in. And my train was at 5pm. So I couldn't do much for the rest of the afternoon because I had to collect my luggage and wait 2+hours for the train,

there're no staff to helping you in anything, just only staff at front for check in & out only. The room has a little bit smell, and a litlle bit old. the big public bath has a nice view but cant see anything becoz it's haห partition.
