Simply amazing. I don't think I ever was this thrilled to stay anywhere. - Villa with a private onsen with great views over Yufuin. - Water in the onsen makes your skin silky. It's hard to describe, but it is the most pleasant feeling. - Great dinner experience. Prime Yufuin-raised marbled beef just melts on the tongue. AMAZING staff! They made me feel like I am at my second home rather than staying in a hotel. And they are so helpful! My partner was having a birthday, and I asked them last minute if they could take care of buying some flowers and decorating the garden/onsen with sakura tree branches. (Of course for an additional price). They did it discretely while we were away exploring Yufuin, and just transformed the place. It was a magical experience. Never before have I been so grateful to resort staff.

The room is very spacious, the private hot spa is right outside our room on the terrasse, with a beautiful view of Mount Yufu. The public one is also very beautiful! The meals are delicious. Thank you for the pick-up and drop-off! Very considerate.

The house is big with living room, dining, bedroom, toilet and bathroom seperately according to Japanese ryokan. The onsen comes with the perfect view of Yufuin city and mountains. The dinner and breakast were delicious and a lot. The staff was helpful and friendly. This was our perfect stay.

Room with private onsen was amazing - 2 different types of outdoor baths - very hot and hot. There is a small indoor one but I dont know why anyone would use that one. Room was huge - unnecessarily large for 2 people. The dinner and breakfast was wonderful. Staff spoke relatively good english. The value of private onsen + full board is unmatched

We had a bit of trouble finding the hotel as there was another, accommodation nearer down the hill. However we were guided by that accommodation to drive further up and were greeted warmly by the staff who helped bring our luggage into the ryokan and also drove our car to park on our behalf. Amazing hospitality from the bosses and staff! Some of their staff could speak English and Mandarin so no issues for international tourists staying here. When seeing someone in our group having difficulty walking, they immediately helped to hold them steady during the walk to the room and provided a higher and studier chair than the usual Japanese chair for ease for sitting. Two thumbs up for the attentiveness. Room was great, nice and warm with the aircon working well. Absolutely clean including the two private hot springs in our own room. Would recommend anyone interested in a ryokan experience to come here!

Schedule of meal may be not much flexible, it would be better if timetable is more relax.

The boss of ryokan and all the staff are very nice, staff can speak Chinese or English, I can still enjoy Kaiseki at night and in the morning; The room is tradtional Japan style and enjoy the private furo inside your room; the whole ryokan gibes me a feel of private garden; When I check out, the boss will take a photo for me and print it as an Polaroid; I was sent to Yufuin Eki by them, I feel so warm and thankful

The hotel description said that dinner was at 18h00 or 19h00, but in our case, we could not decide the time. The dinner time was fixed on the day itself and communicated to us at breakfast. This is not criticism, however. We thought it was probably for the better organization of the hotel to have one dinner time for everyone, but it's handy information to have for travellers.

Our stay at the ryokan was phenomenal and exceeded our expectations even though we were already prepared to enjoy it. We loved everything. Before arriving at the train station, I had sent an email asking for a pick-up, and the ryokan sent a car to pick us up on time. We stayed in a standard suite, which felt extremely comfortable and spacious and still had 3 hot baths by itself - 1 inside and 2 open-air ones. It was also possible to use the large "public" onsen but privately (there was a button to turn on a light outside and indicate that the onsen was in use). The view from there was lovely. Breakfast was at 8h30am while dinner varied between 18h30 and 18h00 for us, and the staff provided phone calls to our room before either meals. The kaiseki meals were truly delicious, so varied and so copious. The staff was always attentive and doing their best to accommodate, and the environment of the ryokan itself was quiet and soothing, full of beautiful greenery. The water's temperature for the room's onsens was perfect for us. The wi-fi functioned perfectly. We could not ask for more and would love to come back.

The place was a bit run down but I can feel they had been trying to keep the place as original as possible. This was my first time staying in onsen, so I did not know if my expectations were reasonable.

Every staff are so caring and working so hard to keep guests enjoying their stays. It is the best stay we had throughout this trip to Kyushu. We fell slept with cricket singing and spring water running, and woke up by bird singing and not the iPhone alarm. The best time for onsen was in the very early morning and it was really relaxing.

I have nothing to complain about.

Each room (house) has its own outdoor onsen bath. The room is spacious and the view is absolutely beautiful. Although it is a bit far from town centre, it is very quite so we could relax ourselves in such a peaceful atmosphere. The food was SUPERB. Definitely the best Kaiseiki set I have ever had. The seafood was fresh. The staffs were all very kind and helpful. The boss took a photo for each customer and printed it out right away. I would definitely like to stay there again. It’s a hidden gem in Yufu.
