Very impressive newly renovated rooms with high quality fittings, and attention to details. Staff very polite and professional. Superb dinner and breakfast. Outstanding onsen close to resort area. Highly recommended!

Dinner was a memorable experience. Lots of dishes were offered, Not all were to my taste, but nevertheless, the food was prepared by experts who take pride in their craft. The onsen, in particular the outside onsen, was amazing. The mineral rich water is easily 40°C.

Bit of a walk to the nearest chairlift (5mins). Fairly flat walk but still a bit of a chore in ski boots.

Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful, rooms were great, very spacious with a nice outlook into the forest. Nearby public onsen is also very good. Breakfast was fantastic. Would stay here again.

Some smell of smoke in the corridor, even it is a non-smoking hotel.

This beautiful hotel is in a great location. It only took us a 10-minute walk from the JR Station and a 5-minute walk from the ropeway station. The dinner was superb, with a variety of delicate Japanese dishes and grill beef. The famous beef was so tender and delicious. We were so full and the staff offered us take-away dessert that we could enjoy later in our room. Free shuttle bus service from Yamagata JR Station to the hotel could be reserved in advance. Great service!

Hotel is far from city centre and a fair climb to the ski lifts. A direct stair would be better. Missing amenities in some onsen such as shaving cream, moisturising lotion and tooth brush. Staff can have better english.

Great breakfast. the sulfuric onsen in '108 steps' was excellent and does amazing things to your skin. Plenty of parking at the site. The junior suite was clean, comfortable and provide lots of space.

Rooms were newly renovated and comfortable. Staff are not able to speak in English but they were helpful & friendly, trying their very best to assist. Hotel was thoughtful to provide a mini lounge with hot drinks, juices, ice-cream & snacks too 👍🏻👍🏻

They can’t accommodate their guests for dinner! Large hotel that can feed everyone for breakfast but good luck eating at night! When we arrived we tried to book in for dinner and they were already booked out for our entire 5 night stay!!! Turns out we were lucky, they were charging 15000 yen per person(in town, delicious meals for 1000 -1500yen per person (ten times cheaper) It was a pain on a snowy night to walk at least 10 minutes to get a meal. A hotel this size should have an option to eat in the hotel, especially when it’s on the far edge of town. Also, be sure to book a restaurant in town early, there were trails of people walking around getting turned away from every restaurant. There aren’t many and they are small and booked out. The town shuts down after 7pm. Hotel should offer a simple buffet dinner to feed everyone. Terrible directions to the shuttle bus. The website shows a small white bus, we stood in the right spot but missed the bus because it was not as pictured and no one speaks English to ask.

Lovely hotel, with very large, comfortable rooms. Inside and outside onsens are gorgeous, they even have massage chairs Modern and clean luxury hotel feel. Let down with only a couple of fixable issues
