Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Our stay was a unique experience that me and my partner will never forget. The staff goes above and beyond to make you feel comfortable. Little details everywhere remind you that this is a luxury experience. The food was world-class. But the best thing is the location next to the Mara River. Hearing the hippos bellowing while in bed inside our tent and our game drives early in the morning with an incredibly knowledgeable and expert Masai driver are the kind of things that will stay with us forever.

United KingdomThought the edition of taking a couple of chairs and a drink to watch the sunset (for free..) after your game drive would’ve been great as many competitors provide this
Wilson our driver - WHAT A LEGEND. Amazing to see all of the animals - saw all of the big 5 on our first day Hippo corner was a great edition Don’t get me started on the food, literally the most flavourful food I have eaten, better than any London restaurant.

NigeriaMy husband and I visited for our 2nd anniversary and it was amazing. The safaris were amazing, the camp is located on a private conservancy, so the game viewing is exceptional. We saw a wide variety of animals, including all the big five (except the elusive leopard). Reuben was our guide and he was great, so knowledgeable, experienced, and friendly! The tents were great as well, I loved being woken up by the hippos at dawn. Caleb took care of our tent and made sure we were very comfortable throughout. The masseuse at the Spa was amazing as well, got a great deep tissue massage after a long day out on the Mara. We loved the food, they had a wide range of options to suit all palettes, Francis took care of us during meals throughout our stay, he was excellent. We unfortunately didn’t pack any warm clothes, (we didn’t expect it to be as cold as it was) but there were blankets in all the game drive vehicles and they were a life saver! Caleb also warmed up our bed with a hot water bottle every night.

India1.Indian food was ok but could be better especially during breakfast and dinner there should be more Indian vegetarian options. 2. Balloon safari could have been better - The post breakfast was good but the balloon safari itself was not very impressive
1. Location 2. Friendliness and promptness of staff 3. Property rooms 4. Activities were excellent - The Masai village visit, game drives, the massages and the sundowner.

Staff were helpful! Good food & thanks to Chef for accommodating Kenyan food and kids request. Good vegetarian options. Reuben-the Guru took great care of us and made sure we enjoyed the game drives and also ensured our safety at every step. Edward has special “Masai Vision” that can spot Lions from 2 Kms with bare eyes when binoculars may fail! The river behind property has plenty of Hippos and you can get great hippo views and wake-up alarms! Please take note of additional Conservancy Fees based on No of pax, when you book, resort is inside Pvt. Conservancy which has almost extinct Whide Rhino pairs. Masai Mara National reserve is 2 hrs one way drive from resort. Resort Land Cruisers with soft tops are good and have open views!

SingaporeA few lowlights: - this isn’t a full board as water, and any other beverage, is chargeable. I would have expected water to be included. - balloon ride: I had booked a balloon ride beforehand but this wasn’t acknowledged when I arrived and I needed to book again. In addition I was surprised to find from other guests that they could negotiate a lower price, which is something I wouldn’t expect at a fairmont.
The hotel is located in a conservatory and we were able to see so many lions and other animals. We saw all of the big 5! Moseka, our guide, was amazing!!

United StatesHmm. Too much delicious food? Too much wildlife?
Everything is simply fantastic. The full board is amazing and the menu changes daily. The included safari drives roam the famous Lemek Conservancy, ultra rich in wildlife including the big 5 (which we got). And who couldn’t love hippo corner, where up to 50 lounge on a mudbank just below the property!

PakistanRip Off Practices were very apparent. A full board means the resort is expected to take care of you from the moment you arrive to the moment you leave. Unfortunately, if your timings are not accurate, its upto you, they only have three free meals per night. There is no where else to go and the prices at the resort are exorbitant. Also meals are free. Drinks are not. Be ready to pay the meal price for the water bottle. Two drives are included. Morning and Evening. Although amazing, the staff wanted to charge us. It was our duty to prove them that its included in our package. Then there is a 25,000 KSH package to visit a nearby village. And the staff insisted you miss your game drive and take the package instead. And the usual ending, they take you to a large Masai shop with some wonderful items to buy. Kick Backs were apparent, whether to the staff/driver or Resort, I don’t know for sure.
Awesome place. Great Value for Money. Game Drives was the most amazing aspect. And our Driver, Mike, was a Pro. He didn’t miss and inch. Although we were still unlucky a bit, missed the leopards and cheetahs. Difficult to spot perhaps.

SpainThe only thing I would mention is that the pool was not temperature controlled this too cold to be used for our liking. In all honesty, we didn’t miss not using the pool at all as there were all sorts of other entertainment available from the game drives to the cozy bar, the hippo corner etc…
The whole experience was 10/10, from the welcoming with a cold towel and a fresh juice whilst checking in, to the tent and overall facilities of the club, the delicious and quality of every single meal we had and most of all the amazing game drives with our ranger Lenkoko who went above and beyond so we could see not only the big 5 and the great migration but a lot more. Hats off to all the staff for making our stay so amazing we didn’t want to leave.

United StatesThe 100 Kms dirt road to the hotel is horrible. We were given wrong directions by the hotel staff Anthony and it took us more than 5 hours to reach on that dirt road. There is another dirt road from muloch which takes 2 hours. Because of the wrong directions we missed the game drive on the day of arrival. The game drive took us to see elephants and a few other animals. Didn’t see any lions or leopards. Overall the north side of Mara where this hotel is located is a waste of money. Stay in the south side of Mara to spot more animals and birds.
The food served at the dinner was good. You have to pay for still water and other drinks.the Mara river flowing near the rooms and the hippo center. The staff at the dining is very good.
