The toilet flushing needs maintenance. No ironing box. There are two swimming pools at the location but they are not ideal for toddlers.

The facility offers in-house chef, its only about 350 Meters to the Diani beach and easily accessible from the main road. Its very clean, roomy, authentic, and its close to most social amenities. The staff Celestiner, Mary, and Mwanaida were amazing. Very friendly and hospitable. It's ideal for families (offers a baby cot too).

Equipement in the kitchen was really old. Coffe machine broke down after 3 days (replaced same day), fridge in the kitchen was working, however temperature was too high (ice melted in freezer)

Spacious villa (3 in whole complex) located close to the beach in beautiful garden. Really friendly and helpful staff. In the complex there are 2 swimingpools, however in high seasson pool area can be a bit crowded.

Nothing to mention in this section, it was a perfect experience for us.

It is a perfect place to stay with a big family or a group of friends. The beach is close by and so is the supermarket, fruit stand, post office etc. The place was super clean and well maintained and the compound was well maintained. Anne was a very friendly, responsive and flexible host and it was always a pleasure to communicate with her. Our personal chef provided to us cooked us all the meals and was very eager to discuss any preferences we have and suggest ideas of her own. We were very happy with the experience, will most probably go back and suggest others to do that too.

The chef is on point, cleaning is done every day. The pool is kept clean. Quiet compound. Perfect for families or a team building activity e.g. I can recommend and will most probably return when in Diani. Ann, the property manager is very responsive and helpful. Has good contacts for taxi services and airport transfers.

    Nothing!

They're absolutely stunning houses in beautiful grounds with lots of trees, birds and lizards. The world just stops there and you can truly relax. They have a doorman there 27/7, it's an easy walk to the beach, Ubers are around to take you for dinner, or there's a supermarket very close by where you can stock up on food and the chef will come and make anything you like for you! You can also get massages there and laundry. It's perfect.

The property itself is very small and some parts seemed unmaintained.

We had a fantastic hut to ourselves. It was very large with two bedrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, a nicely decorated lounge room and a big balcony with seating. The communal pool was very nice and the property is well located, only a short 5 minute walk to the beach.

    1. The Wifi was very poor and sometimes not even there. Hopefully they can fix it for the next guests. 2. The washing machine was however not allowed to use unless you pay for it. That wasn’t pleasant at all coz when you book the hotel it’s included in the total payment.

The Taxi Guy Peter was quite helpful and he was On time. The service was great and The Chef - Lucy was the best. The House is quite spacious for a family with two babies/kids and even one more adult. The security guys at the gate were very polite and quite resourceful. Cleanliness is also on point! Its so close to the beach just 5 minutes walk and also quite accessible to the public means. The shopping center is around 5 minutes walk and 2 minutes with a “Tuktuk “. Just perfect in General!

Beds were a bit uncomfortable, when lying on the pool we coule continuously here the traffic from the busy street in front of the hotel. We were expecting also a direct beachfront as according to the pictures, but you need to walk 5 minutes to be at the beach

Very spacious, super friendly staff, cook was really good

    Can't think of anything...

It's really a little paradise in Diani. Very close to the beach and the supermarket. The house comes with a private cleaner and a private cook and there are always Massai guards protecting the gate. So it feels really safe. When you go out the TukTuks just stop in front of Marula Park to take you anywhere you like. This house is really close to many nice restaurants and taking a tuktuk would only cost about 200 to 300 Kenyan Shilling (2 dollars US). The beach is beautiful but not really a place to relax on your towel. We took a swim and had nice walks on the beach, but to hang out and relax we preferred our swimming pool with no sellers around. And Marula Park is also really close to Ukunda airstrip (less then 15 minutes drive) which was perfect for our flight back to Nairobi. There were monkeys but not all the time. We enjoyed having them around and they were not annoying at all. So we can really recommend this place to hang out for a few days. tips: -go feed the bush monkeys at stills backpack hostel, only 5 minutes walk from this hotel. Every dag at 1900 PM. -dine at nomad beach bar, very good food and a nice 20 minutes walk on the beach from Marula Park. -take a TukTuk, nice experience and Diani is safe to do so. -we also did the Wasini snorkeling trip and saw a sea turtle and stingrays, really beautiful coral reef. But quite far, first by car 1,5 hrs. Then by boat (also some 1,5 hours) but we thought it was worth it, we also saw dolphins.

The beach was about 300-400 m away and I think that was the only thing that could be better (closer) but this is really a minor thing as thanks to this distance there is silence and not crowd.

The house is really big and comfortable with very nice terrace. The staff was incredibly friendly and we had an amazing chef Lucy who cooked us traditional and local dishes everyday. There was a walking distance to grocery stores, pharmacy and restaurants. Amazing pool and garden, very private and quiet.

You have to pass an abandoned bar to enter the beach. We used Flamboyand hotel to enter the beach - take the right side when walking to the beach. They let you use their facilities if you purchase anything at their cafe.

Beautiful big villa to relax. Cheff as a bonus. Very safe. Great pool and the garden.

I loved our stay at Marula Park. The staff was extremely friendly and always helpful with a smile. The Manager - Anne - checked on us regularly and made sure we had all we needed. She is a warm, welcoming person who promptly and happily helped us with all we asked for and gave very good tips about Kenia and the culture. Our cook - Celestine - made amazing food for us, including the incredibly indulging (and addictive!) veggie samosas. The kids wanted to eat them every day! After our 2-week stay Celestine admitted that it was her first time in her 10-year work here that she cooked vegetarian food. And you know what? You could’t tell! The food was always fresh, yummy and healthy, but most of all - Kenian. We loved it. The whole place was clean as the staff cleans every day, including the pool. Our house was nicely spacious, with all the amenities you can imagine (AC, fan, mosquito nets, tv, WiFi, coffee machine, microwave, toaster…etc). The huge porch was our fav place to eat meals together - but remember to get a monkey stick to scare out these cunning animals as they can quickly snatch food of your plate :D The water in the pool was clear and clean, nice temp, too. The whole place was super safe and quite, although just by the main road. The many bushes and tropical trees created a sound barrier and a pasture for the many beautiful birds that we could watch as we were chilling by the pool. There were hardly any insects and absolutely zero mosquitoes - which was a nice surprise. A nice 150 m walk to the beach and another 300 m to the nearest shop. Our kids and us loved the closeness of nature and the peace Marula Park offered. We had the pool to ourselves most of the time and could relax all we wanted. The friendly 24/7 Masai guards even scared away the monkeys for us :D Thank you all Marula staff for making our stay a wonderful and unforgettable one!

No iron box Monkeys entering house through main door and spoiling food. Please consider glueing mesh screen material on the main metallic grill door like on the windows, so it can be left open. Please inform a day before if pool will be closed for treatment so one can reorganize their activities for the day.

Good value for a family vacation. The main selling point was the chef...she cooked all our meals and helped plan the menu. So one is able to just relax despite it being a self catering villa. The staff were very friendly and helpful...from watchman, to chef to housekeeper. The house was well furnished with quality and comfortable furniture...just like home The kitchen was fully equipped with cooker &oven, fridge, microwave, coffee machine and all pots, utensils etc... you can prepare any meal. Bathroom had double sink and blow dryer Bathroom had hot water from solar panels and boiler backup. Large outdoor dining table on porch was nice Two swimming pools Location was good...right on road for access, 5min walk to shopping center,5 min walk to beach. Very secure...24h security, able to lock the house when you leave, security alarm
