Musty odor in entire room. Discoloration or growth of bathroom tile grout. Did not get a balcony room as described in reservation. Small insects. Dated decor and amenities. Spotted wifi. No hot water for bath and showers.

Ocean front beach! Superb breakfast buffet! Friendly staff. Exceptional accommodation from management for late checkout.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel and would highly recommend it to others. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, making me feel welcome from the moment I arrived. They were always available to assist with any requests or questions I had during my stay. The cleanliness of the hotel was impressive. The rooms were spotless and well-maintained, creating a comfortable and inviting atmosphere. The beds were beautifully prepared and tucked, ensuring a restful night's sleep. The breakfast offered a wide selection of options to choose from. Although the European food choices were limited, considering the hotel's location in Africa, it was still acceptable and didn't detract from the overall quality of the breakfast experience. The hotel boasted a reasonable-sized pool, which was perfect for relaxing and enjoying a refreshing swim. It provided a great way to unwind after a long day of activities. The hotel's taxi service was reliable and reasonably priced. It made transportation hassle-free and convenient, allowing me to explore the surrounding area with ease. One of the highlights of my stay was dining at Jahazi Grill. The food served there was truly top-notch, surpassing my expectations. The flavours were exquisite, and the presentation was impeccable. It was a dining experience to remember. Overall, this hotel exceeded my expectations in terms of service, cleanliness, amenities, and dining. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would not hesitate to book here again in the future.

I can only say that I had high expectations for this hotel, but unfortunately those expectations were significantly diminished when the front desk staff failed to inform me that my credit card had been debited on the second day of my stay, so clearly communication and managing guests' expectations is very poor. In fact the £48.34 (approximately kes8000) that was debited as prepayment should have been deducted from the final bill, but this was not the case, and despite several calls and emails attempting to resolve this issue, no one from the Hotel or indeed from Booking.com has reached out to me! Suffice to say I will think twice about booking through Booking.com in the future, and I definitely would not consider staying at the Serena Beach Resort & Spa again, nor would I recommend that my family and friends stay there. There's alot more that I could add here, like the fact that the initial room that I was given wreaked of damp; I also had a touch of food poisoning from the overly warm mozzarella that was on the buffet menu on Friday night. I vomited profusely Saturday afternoon just as I was about to enter the lobby, returning from my spa treatment - the staff were not very sympathetic!

The hotel has a breathaking view of the sea and it's right on the seafront.

The WiFi is so poor in the rooms. The waiters and waitresses at the dining area pay more attention to you if you are white. If you are black, expect mediocre service.

There were wonderful activities each evening which kept us entertained.

Poor service. Waited 1.5 hours to get my room ready. Folks were unbothered until I had checked in. I was told dinner was complimentary, I was charged for it the next day, basic dishonesty. The check in and check out process along with charges was simply disappointing.

I really liked the animation team. I especially want to praise Zawadi. She showed me where the hammer hangs…also the front officer Wilson was very professional and the Chef is extraordinarily good

Terrible internet Terrible channel selections Outdated rooms they need to be refreshed and up dated for example old soap 🧼 holders and handles rusted Bad workmanship done in bathroom didn't quite feel luxurious Food wasnt hot in buffet it was Luke warm

I didnt like way of communication between staff and customers as half of the staff didn't know that they are saling cocktails, another day there was full menu of cocktails. The day after no towels available 🙄.

Everything was fabulous ! From the reception to room service. It was our Honeymoon .Your courtesy Honeymoon greeting was beautiful the two Lovebirds and the heart of roses and rose petals everywhere. We enjoyed the wine and fruit as well. Your room staff was quite accommodating the food and beverage staff was superb the wait staff was very alert and courteous and professional. We will definitely come back. Thank you for beautiful memories....
