“As other reviewers have commented, this is an exceptionally comfortable and well-appointed hotel, something of a surprise in this out-of-the-way location that sees few international tourists. The valley is a summer holiday area (campsite nearby), but arriving early in the season we were (apparently) the only guests; we were clearly expected, however, and were shown to our rooms by a very friendly receptionist. Breakfast is self-service toast, coffee and Korean hard-cooked eggs - perfectly fine. Unmunsa Temple is a short walk up the road, and well worth visiting. Because of its proximity to the temple and campsite, there are a number of restaurants and shops near the hotel, but we found most of them closed (again, presumably because of the low season). One that was open served us a delicious Korean meal with good grace in spite of the late hour and the challenges of the language barrier.”
