Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Hong KongThe espresso machine wasn’t working. The AC was so weak and literally didn’t feel any wind come out of it. It felt really hot and stuffy in the room. The wardrobe was so awfully designed! It had 3 sliding doors and you couldn’t slide them open all at once. And they’re very confusing. I didn’t use the compartments in the end (other than the safe) to put my hand carry ons inside, which is a shame because the two spaces inside the sliding doors can fit my hand carry on suitcases while they are open. Couldn’t utilise it and ended up having to put them on the floor.
The sea view room is big and there’s plenty of room to put your clothes, belongings and do your makeup at a different “space” in the room, if you know what I mean. Much better than other 5 star hotels that are cramped. The layout is good. There’s a sofa, a comfortable reclining chair and ottoman, a bench in front of the bed, and a really long shelf in front of the TV to put your belongings. Perfect to stay here if you’re a girl. I like how there’s a shopping mall directly connected to the hotel. Literally floors of fashion boutiques and good clothes and shoes to choose from.

South KoreaThey provided a coupon I could use at the bar on the 38th floor. However, it could be used only from 11 am to 6 pm. In fact, I was on a business trip, so I was out during the hours. In fact, they did not allow me to check in early. So, the coupon might not be of no use for one who stays just one night like me.
The room where I stayed was clean and spacious. The room had a wide window which provided an excellent outside view.

The bed was super comfortable. The room is designed with intelligent devices and very spacious. The facilities in the building are very accommodating.

NetherlandsWe found the beds to be a bit too soft; yes, we prefer firmer beds. So we often woke up with slight back aches. Having foam pillows helped. Breakfast buffet (which cost the same as our dinner at Noknamu) was approx 100,000W for two -- we found it was quite expensive with less options than the advertised "Vegas-style" offerings, and preferred getting our breakfast elsewhere.
Grand Hyatt Jeju is the largest in the Asia region in Hyatt's portfolio and it's certainly grand. Our room was massive, with its own living room area. The bathroom with its free-standing tub (that filled up super fast) and excellent closet space were appreciated. We wanted to spend as much time in our room as we could, but the hotel facilities were an experience. 14 freaking restaurants -- we really enjoyed dinner at Noknamu where we ended our final night with black Jeju pork. The pool areas were neat, but try to get there earlier in the day because the resort is family-friendly so later hours can be overrun with kids. Gym amenities were amazing; I didn't use them, but my husband found the facilities fantastic. I could have easily spent the entire stay in Jeju meandering through the hotel, but didn't get to explore all areas since we needed to explore the rest of the lovely island :P

South KoreaWe were not allowed to use the swimming pool before the check-in time or after the check-out time. This was disappointing to us especially because it rained everyday during our three-day stay but turned sunny on the day of check out. We were hoping to use outdoor swimming pool after check-out until our flight late in the afternoon, but we could not use the pool. Also it is often difficult to catch a taxi from the hotel. Many Korean people use Kakao taxi app to get taxi but for people without the app, it will be difficult to catch a taxi.
The hotel was truly a five star hotel. Great facility, spacious and clean room and polite staffs. We were very happy with our stay.

The service is top-notch. The check-in process was smooth without any long lines or crowds, but the man helping us ran into some issues when calculating our final price. It only held us back a bit, but without us asking, he upgraded us from the 4th floor to the 29th floor with a view of Mount Halla. Everything about our room screamed luxury. It had high ceilings and minimalistic, classy furniture. The shower had a waterfall setting and the shower gel, shampoo, and conditioner were all Balmain. We had a roomy living room area by the floor-to-ceiling windows with a comfy sofa and reclining chair to watch the Jeju cityscape every morning and night when we’d return to our room. The hotel includes many dining options and shopping opportunities. You could easily spend a full day just exploring its facilities. Another plus as a non-Korean tourist is that the staff is multilingual with most of them knowing English and some knowing Chinese. I highly, highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Jeju.

South KoreaI have stayed here before and love it, however, this time the room was not very clean. It looked like nobody had stayed in the room for a long time as everything was very dusty and didn’t seem like it had been vacuumed after the last person.

ChinaLack of creamers / milk for coffee in the room. Staff didn't tell us that the welcome drink and snack voucher was valid only up to 6 pm, so at 5:30 when we realised this ourselves, we had to sprint to the 38th floor. Restaurants within the hotel are overpriced with few veggie / vegan options.
Gorgeous room with a great view of the city and the ocean behind. Lovely bath tub, comfortable bed. Friendly staff through out the stay. Excellent breakfast buffet. The hotel has plenty of entertainment options for a weekend stay. Our room had tiny nods to comfort such as motion sensor lighting, comfy slippers, a 75 inch tv with chrome cast for steaming content, the largest bath towels I've ever used in a hotel ..all much appreciated.

South KoreaI had an exceptional stay at the Grand Hyatt but one thing I feel they should consider is including a service such as breakfast or a discount from one of the shops or restaurants. They charge a lot of money to stay there and while the facilities are comfortable, clean and quiet, I feel they should also include a discount for use in the hotel. In addition, as a foreigner living in South Korea for the past four years I was disappointed to be discriminated against in one of their restaurants. We had a reservation for breakfast and were asked to pre-pay our bill while all Korean nationals were able to just go sit down and enjoy their breakfast. It is rumoured around Korea that foreigners will walk out on their bill and I feel this is a very negative stereotype towards all foreigners. My friends and I were staying in the hotel and I feel that we should be respected as honest patrons.
The Grand Hyatt is an exceptional hotel that is a true five star property. Every little detail was thought out from the design of the room, the location of the restaurants, the facilities and write down to the amazingly helpful staff.
