Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

South KoreaThere was nothing wrong with the room except trying to figure out the air conditioner for a non Korean/Hangul reader. The air conditioner took a long time to cool off the room when it was 83 F+ outside.
The staff was caring and attentive, they spoke great English, the cleaning staff constantly replaced the bottles of water in the fridge (when usually you only get 1-2 bottles a visit. this was a big life saver for us) and room was cleaned daily, the bathroom had 2 water sources so I could shower and my partner could take a bath or a shower at the same time. The windows were blacked out which was perfect for daytime napping. The train station is a 3 minute walk from the hotel.

Really good location close to the Haeundae Beach and Subway Station. Staff was very kind, we could also store the luggage before the check in.

South KoreaI didn't like that the hotel room was not very clean at all and in fact was very nasty and nothing like the pictures. The bathtub leaked water every time I showered which even showering was a struggle because the water pressure was no good. The hotel didn't have any large towels to dry off with......just hand towels and they failed to mention that prior to checking in. The bedding had burn holes/stains and a long piece of black hair on the sheets when I rolled the comforter back. I can say it was definitely not worth $165 for two nights even with the location....
I liked how close the hotel was to Haeundae beach and all of the restaurants/bars. Everything was within walking distance.

South KoreaRooms aren't as advertised - the pictures of the rooms look a lot more modern than they actually are, it's an older hotel and our room had a strong mold smell. The window netting had a hole in it, and it was fixed by stuffing a tissue through it. It wasn't worth the price we paid. The parking space is also very limited.
Overall we had an okay stay. One upside is the location, very central to everything.
