Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Hong KongRoom air cond hard to control. JWMarriot is connected to Shinsegae dept store & subway & when Shinsegae closed at night it was hard to find our way back to hotel.
Excellent service from front desk to concierge to Porter (esp Jin)…all with a smile! Breakfast was superb with abundant choices. Dim sum at the lounge was excellent. Bed was comfy. I like that it’s bathroom has both bathtub & shower unit. Super location with plentiful shopping.

Breakfast was an splendid spread, i'm happy for a few nights stay. Room furnishings was pretty and comfortable linens. I love the space in the bathroom. The lady porters were very helpful cos we had 6 big luggages after staying in Korea for month long. Overall great service! I was pleasantly surprised about the shopping below the hotel. Check it out!

Hong Kong- Need to wear swimming cap to use the swimming pool but this rule is not mentioned in the web-site when I made reservation. While other hotel offers to lean guests a swimming cap but JW asked us to buy at the pool (10,000 won for one)... I can't imagine JW is doing this?!! - We had 3 travellers but only gave us 2 sets of supplies. We asked for extra slippers and tooth brush and wait for more than 30 min to have them delivered - The facilities is a bit outdated. Like, need to check against a guest list on paper when admitting to the executive lounge while other hotel can recognise us by tapping the room card on a reader. JW needs to upgrade her system. With this price, there are plenty of better choices!

Singapore- Staff were absent, - room was not cleaned and rather small, - on booking.com the breakfast was included, yet hotel wanted us to pay and were adamant that it was not, breakfast staff were unfriendly and unaccommodating - hotel was dated
Not much to say about the positives. I decided to book this hotel because it was a JW Marriott but that’s where the positives stop. The service and hospitality does not match the price. If I were to grade it, I would stay this hotel should not get more than 3 stars, not more. The spa was excellent, however it as I understand it is not managed by the hotel.
