We don't really have any negative points. Just book the place!

We highly recommend staying in Wolyeongchae. The owner Sugi is very nice and helpful. She arranged the house in a very comfortable way (as the pictures already suggest) and it's very clean and neat. Sugi provides many necessities like water, tea, coffee etc. and she gives you advice on places to visit. The location of the house is close to the center and bus stop right outside. It's quiet and peaceful and we enjoyed the coffee in the mornings sitting outside the house. If we come to Andong again, then we would definitely stay there for another time.

This is a lovely place, the host came out to meet me at the bus to make sure I found it OK. She also had lots of useful suggestions on what to see and also how to get to places, which was really useful. The accommodation felt like a traditional hanok, and the woodwork was really beautiful. A very peaceful location.

For people with large suitcases the bus will not be the best option to reach the accommodations.

Very nice host and the house feels like a real old one. The owner made it very comfortable for guests yet personalized to her taste, very unique stay and it was awesome.

Subji was an excellent host, she was even kind enough to come and meet us at the bus stop on our arrival and waved us off when we left. Everything was very easy to navigate even though Andong is a less travelled town in South Korea.

A bit far from the main bus station, but there are good bus services to and from.

A really nice stay in an authentic Korean Hanok. We rented the whole house which was spacious, very clean, with breakfast facilities and underfloor heating. The host was nice and helpful and they provided loads of information of what to do and how to get around the city. Would definitely stay there again

The host was really nice. It was our first time visiting Andong and she kindly proposed where to go and good restaurants as soon as we arrived. And the room was so tidy and clean. I would like to visit this place everytine I go to Andong.☺️

    Nothing.

Wonderful host, gave us great advice what to see and how to get there. It's a very charming place. Originally, I thought it was close to the bus station, but there is a new and old station. This is close to the old station, so it was actually quite a drive by bus. But it allowed us to see a good part of the city - hence ok. The house is really charming and the host offers a lot of teas, coffee and snacks. There is also a sitting place in the garden to relax. The room was comfy and warm, and the whole house has a nice traditional vibe. We were only for a day in Andong, but enjoyed the stay a lot.

You do have to share the common area with another guest and the host, so if you are uncomfortable with this arrangement the place is not for you. We really enjoy visiting with other tourists and talking with Sugi so we enjoyed the whole experience.

The Hanok was a really nice and comfortable place to stay. Sugi, the owner was so kind. We had a nice chance to visit with her and she even bought us a pajeon we had never had before and enjoyed some makgeolli with her. She was full of information and made us feel welcome and at home. I would definitely recommend this place as a comfortable place to stay that is not a hotel.

A bit far from the city center, but taxis are cheap. We had a room with own bathroom, however the bathroom was not attached to the room -‘d we had to cross the common area, which was a bit weird.

Very comfortable and typical stay in a Hanok. The owners was super sweet, we had water, coffee and even snacks at our disposal

We thought the coverlet on the bed could be a little larger size, although there was an extra coverlet in the room so we could have had one each. Also there was no flat / top sheet but this is quite common in South Korea.

Sugi was a welcoming host, and very friendly. She walked down to the bus stop to meet us. Spacious bedroom, very clean, en-suite with an excellent shower. Rooms are well insulated, but also plenty of sliding doors for fresh air if needed. The Hanok is very homely and well set up with a little kitchen / lounge area guests can use. Sachets and pods of coffee provided, as well as tea bags, snacks etc. The walk into the centre of town is only 20-25 minutes.

Not so much what could have been better but just to note that: - the property is small with all rooms facing in towards a shared courtyard, and there is that shared sitting room space. The host is a lovely lady who is really helpful; she is also in the house during the day pottering around and also using the sitting room space. That was not a problem for us but just be aware you will not necessarily have private space if there are other guests around, apart from your own bedroom. - the property is about half an hour by bus from the local bus terminal (but very easy to find even if you are not met at the bus stop!). At night there is very little to do around there so you need to hop back on the bus for about 15 mins to get back into the central business district.

The property is a refurbished hanok or traditional Korean home. But the beds and bathrooms are Western style. We booked a room with a private bathroom. When we arrived we were shown our bathroom which was across the shared sitting room space and separate from our bedroom. But later on another guest cancelled and the host put us into a room with a proper ensuite which was much better. If such things matter, best to check ahead as to what sort of privat bathroom you are getting. The shared sitting room space was lovely with a mini kitchen, tea and coffee, lots of snacks and cold water in the fridge. Wifi was good and there was aircon in all the rooms. The little courtyard was lovely to sit in for coffee in the morning. The host was really helpful with transport directions and even met us at the bus stop when we arrived, and accompanied us back to the bus stop when we left to make sure we got the right bus.

The property is very spacious and the owner, Sugi, was extremely kind and helpful and suggested us a perfect itinerary to visit Andong and surroundings in the short time we had available! Also, since we had quite a few luggage and another room was available, she was kind enough to allow me and my friend to stay in two separate rooms - which was very comfortable!! There is a bus stop conveniently located 3 mins walking from the guesthouse, with quick connection to the city center (alternatively it’s a 20-30 mins walk), as the guesthouse is located in a quieter and very pleasant area of Andong.

I wish we'd booked two nights and not just one, didn't have a chance to look around really. I wish host offered traditional breakfasts even if as an extra option, it would've been really nice. The sliding door into the house gets kinda stuck. Given that it's probably older than my dad, I wouldn't really put that as a negative, you know, but the other pair of guests really struggled with it, so I suggest it could use a bit of love.

This is an actual old house, or hanok, of classic Korean heritage. How can it get any cooler than that? It was really cute and got these vibes like you're actually in the countryside as a kid, but for some reason you're a Korean kid. Bed was nice, the host is stellar. Just the best. She was in contact with us the whole time and gave us a lot of instructions to find her home, which is tucked away inside an old town, but is really just a throw away from a bus stop.
