Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

ThailandThere were no facial tissues provided in the rooms, which can be an inconvenience. Although there is a pillow menu, the requested pillow was not available during our stay, which was a bit disappointing.
The hotel is new and boasts a modern design with a high level of comfort. The family room we booked, consists of a king room and a twin room that connect. This setup allows for both togetherness and privacy. Each room comes fully equipped with a sofa, table, bathroom, dressing area, fridge, and other essential amenities, ensuring a convenient and enjoyable stay. The beds are very comfortable, enhancing the overall rest and relaxation experience.

GermanyMore variety at breakfast which caters to international guests. More cheeses, Nutella, Greek yogurt etc. Also, the service staff at breakfast should be more proactive in replenishing the buffet and cleaning the tables properly. This is better than having the guests constantly chase them for things. This would greatly improve the overall experience.
The reception staff and manager Aya. Very forthcomong and service oriented. Even when the mistake with the transfer occured Aya rectified it. Location is great as is the hotel itself. The chef was lovely.

United StatesThe breakfast was very crowded and the staff had a hard time keeping food and coffee for the guests. The quality of food was just okay, when there was food available. I don't want to complain too much because other than the breakfast, the stay was fantastic and the front desk staff were very helpful and friendly.
We loved the location and the room, especially, though we had to keep the windows open because the room was so hot, but we did love the room.

PolandRooms were too hot, there was no option to turn the hitting down, reception employees some just great and helpful some not trained properly what lead to many misunderstandings, great selection for breakfast but I hate noticed on several occasions that same products from previous day looking dead was placed on next breakfast (mozarella carpaccio, cut vegetables) .

ArmeniaNo problem, but I think the breakfasts can be more interesting. Also would be better to have a swimming pool, but of course this is not a problem.
Overall the hotel was fine. Good location, close to metro station and Opera house. A nice small park is close to the hotel. Good breakfast, nice staff. The rooms are big and bright. You can open the window in your room which is fine)

SwitzerlandI cannot say what I didn't like , because everything was great !
The location was perfect, close to my work event as well as various facilities around - cafes, stores, money exchange. Unfortunately for me I was unable to attend breakfast at the hotel, however the food ordered to the room in the evening was exceptionally good. Staff at the hotel was extremely friendly, polite and supportive of all my needs and requests. Throughout my stay I was also able to live/experience multiple room categories and all of them were great also. The beds were extremely comfortable. Overall - truly highly recommend !!!

VietnamEventho this was our second time living here, plus this time we spent more, the staff did not say anything about this. It would've been nice to hear something like "welcome back" at least... They also took a copy of both of our passports, but when we were checking out, they told us that we have to give them my wife's passport again, because they don't have a copy. We SAW them taking and having a copy of BOTH of our passports at check-in. This means they lost one copy?! No apologies or anything... This new staff at the reception really doesn't know how to treat guests at a 4 star hotel which is also quite pricey compare to other 4 stars in the city. Every interaction with them felt like they are bored or just on't want to work. No apologies for any mistakes. In the minibar there was an orange juice, which we wanted to drink. Tasted weird, we checked the expiry date, seemed to be expired. Told reception, they said that it is not expired, I told them that it tasted weird, they said that okay, that's our opinion. We still have to pay for it. We had quite a lot of purchases from the minibar, it is always much more expensive compared to a supermarket, I have no issues paying for everything I/we eat/drink. BUT when there is a dispute like this, where I spend a lot of money to the hotel, minibar, etc etc, AND they want me to pay for this orange juice? If this is a 2 star or something and much less expensive, I understand, moreover, I expect that. But in a relatively expensive 4 star? This is exactly what the 4, 5 stars hotels should be about: you pay much more, because you want something nice, clean, and you want the staff to take care of you. During our stay we did not feel this at all. It is not about the price of the juice,it is about the treatment. Breakfast: okay variety IF you go down before ~9:30am. After that they start to remove everything.
Cleaners are doing a good job, the whole hotel and the room are very clean. Wifi signal is strong, good speed. Minibar has a lot of choices of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, also, tea, coffee, free water every day.
